Good layout, with variety throughout the 18 holes.
The fairways on some of the holes was pretty bad, hard to distinguish fairway form rough. The greens were slow and fuzzy.
Tee boxes were ok for the most part.
The course has some nice views, just need to take care of the fairways and cut or roll the greens.

The course is a great value for the cost. The greens are in great shape, the fairways are nice, there were some areas where the grass is thin and hard ,but for the majority of holes, more grass, than dirt/hard pan.
The tee boxes are in ok shape. The course doesn't have a ranger, so pace of place is at the discretion of the patrons on the course, hopefully the group in front of you are considerate and don't search too long for their balls and keep it moving.

When we checked in, we were told that 4 of the greens were temporary, but in all actuality they all were in very bad shape. Probably 5 had some grass and weed patches. The remaining greens were just dirt with spots of grass, which you couldn't be putt on. The fairways were very dried out. The pace of play was slow, we passed a 3some up but got stuck behind a 4some that never waved us (2some) through, and once we decided to skip a hole we got caught behind another 4some of hackers. They all displayed poor golf course etiquette. It's a shame because the course has a nice layout.

The course is in great shape.The fairways and rough look good, the greens are rolling nicely, a little fast but that's how I like them. I enjoy these courses whenever I play at OCN.

I've played this course before when it was in much better condition. It takes me about an hour to drive there and was worth the drive, but on my last visit, the greens we're in very bad shape. I was very disappointed because it is such a drive. Hopefully the greens will be restored over the next few months, because the course is a nice place to play and a nice little get away.

The course was in great shape from tee to green!
Pace if play wasn't a problem since our tee time was for 1pm in the afternoon.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because there wasn't a beverage cart attendant out on the course, but that won't stop me from playing this course again.

The had taken a turn for the worse, so I hadn't played in some time. I had my reservations about booking but, it was short notice and I hadn't played in 3 weeks, so I just wanted to get out. The fairways, which were a problem over the past year, was back to how it should be, nice. The greens, one of my main reasons for playing this course, are getting back to the fast, true-rolling greens of the past. My complaint was that there was no water coolers on the course anywhere and the beverage girl wouldn't give me a cup of ice, she said I had to pay $3 for a bottled water, how rude!

I very much like playing both courses at OCN, but the last few times out I played the Panther Lake course, this last time out I played Crooked Cat and realized how much I really enjoy playing OCN.
Even though the greens were a bit grainy and there were a couple of showers, I had a great time!
The course was in great shape. The staff and beverage attendant were very friendly. Most of all, no houses on the course, so you really feel like you've escaped to some place special!

It's a nice short course, but the pace of play was very slow!
The group I was playing with decided to leave when we for the 1st 9 holes were sluggish, and arrived at the 10th hole and was met with 3 other groups waiting to tee off. The ranger was out but apparently not doing the job, it was disappointing!

Mayfair is an old course with a challenging layout. The greens are in good shape but the tee boxes and fairways need water and repair. It's a great course to play but the pace of play can be a bit slow. You can expect close to a 5 hour round each time you play.

The course has many trees, so you want to keep it in the fairway or you'll waste many shots punching out. The greens were fast, which personally I prefer and for the most part the tee boxes were in good shape. My complaint was that there wasn't a ranger , so it was a 5 hour round and when we stopped at the turn for a bite to eat, nothing was prepared. My playing partner was told it would be 7-10 mins and the food cart attendant didn't have any sandwiches just chips and crackers.

Enjoyed playing this course! There was no water to worry about, so that was nice, but you can get into trouble, especially if you spend too much time in the bunkers, which there are plenty. The greens were a bit slow but in great shape. the staff was friendly and professional. The pace of play was great, finished in just under 4 hours with a 3some and a pretty busy course.

I was pleasantly surprise with the layout and course, even though 8 of the front 9 holes have been redone. The fairways were in great condition as was the tee boxes and greens, that's to be expected because it is a Marriott Resort course.
I used to play Grand Pines and was saddened to hear that it was closing but Hawk's Landing will make a very suitable alternative course. I will definitely be playing this course in the future!

I was impressed with the course from tee to green. The fairways were plush and the tee boxes were well taken care of. The greens were running a bit slow for me but overall I was very pleased with the course. It took me about 40 minutes to drive there from downtown Orlando but we'll worth it. I will definitely return!

The course tee to green was in good shape. The greens were a little slower than I like but in good condition. I was really impressed with the fact that when I called to see if my 6yo son could ride along with me, they were very accommodating. I had called a couple other courses and they wanted to charge me from $17-22 for him to ride. I would definitely play this course again and I have recommended it to my friends that have potential junior golfers!

I really enjoy the layout of rhe holes. The greens are in very good shape. The 1st 3 or 4 holes usually play into the wind, but don't get discouraged.
I wish that there were more water coolers on the course especially as the summer approaches, because we were very thirsty and they don't have a beverage cart.

Other than the greens which were being aerated, the course was in great shape.

The fairways and greens were in very good shape. They have new carts. The only complaint was the pace of play was a bit slow, probably because they don't have a ranger.

The rate was great but unfortunately it was cart path only but other than that, the greens are fast, the rough was maintained and the fairways were nice and green.
