Golf Handicap

I wish we could be paired with people who have the same handicap, I am an amateur golfer pursuing a pro status. It sucks because I'm always playing with high handicappers who think they are a single handicap golfers. I play from the tee box in which I can get on a par 4 in two. Which means I drive the ball off the tee box between 230-250yrds on a bad day. Then I get these wannabe Phil's who still believe that they carry the ball 280 yards but on my bad day I'm still out driving them. Now I know, without a shadow of a doubt how far I drive my tee shot. Effortlessly, the ball is going 230-250yrds without a shadow of a doubt. Then these clowns tee it up and swing out of their shoes for an errant shot. Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4 but it continues and i try not to focus on them and be empathetic that a petite woman like myself can drive the ball as far as I do. Why do I have to adjust my game and play from the "women's tee " because I'm a woman eventhough I still out drive everybody. If you drive your ball between 150-200yrds on an average that means 6000+yrds is too much for ya boo. I'm sorry to be the barrier of bad news but that means you need to move up to the next tee box aka the "women's tee box," which needs to be dropped to simply the forwards tee. And probably the pace of play on most golf courses would improve. I'm just saying. It's ok to have a piece of humble pie in your life.

close to vegas

It was an ok course but the greens were like Chicago streets. Maybe during season the total experience of the course and greens is well worth the $$$$.

oasis shorty

Bring your short game and swim shorts, this course has plenty of water hazards to keep you swimming for balls if you let it distract you. I feed most of my balls to the water hazards that were less than 100 yards, a distance that I can normally make but I guess I got faked out by the water. I should have brought my swimsuit instead of my golf clubs.

Nothing like evening golf

Great evening golf spot and the fairways let you get a chance to let it fly. If you can't let it fly you'll be hitting high pars. Looking forward to improving my game here.

Great place to play

This definitely a fan favorite. The course is well kept and you get a lot of course variation. The greens are fast and are very challenging. So putt with ease or you'll have a high par.

Maybe the course was on vacation

It seem like I was in a scary movie and I was waiting for the Texas chainsaw massacre to appear at any moment. It was very desolent and just plain old eery. When the sun came out I didn't feel too timid but it was a course that I would not frequent. Maybe when it's in season it's more bright and plush.

Nice challenges

The course was not as pristine as the courses that I am use to in palm springs but some of the height diversions were pretty cool from the tee box. I'd come back just for that.
