White sand bunkers. Very well-kept fairways. Lush rough. Good size greens with nice challenge to them. A beautiful place to play and see.
Yocha Dehe Golf Club at Cache Creek Casino Resort
Played On 06/09/2020Simply stunning
I’ve played this course a number of times. The setting is beautiful. The conditions are superb. The layout is challenging and beautiful. How ever far you might have to drive, it is worth it. The greens are good sized and roll true. I don’t know if you can find a bad lie in the fairway. The rough might be difficult to hit from. It is fairly thick but not too deep. What ever you score, you can always go to the casino and try your luck there or enjoy one of the many restaurants that are available after your game. Treat yourself and play Yocha Dehe.
Teal Bend Golf Club
Played On 12/17/2019The Teal reveal
Teal Bend is an 18 hole course situated just to the west of Sacramento International Airport. Every hole is Beautifully lined with willow trees that isolates each hole from the others giving a feeling of a nature walk. The fairways are wide enough with fairly large greens The greens are well maintained with good undulation. Teal Bend offers a well thought out track giving golfers of all abilities a good challenge to their game.

Every hole is tree-lined with willows, but they aren’t hindering your play. Lots of wildlife (Turkeys, squirrels, egrets, heron, etc). This is a very pretty course with good fairways and greens, a great combination. Choose the tee boxes that suit your game. I guarantee you will enjoy playing here.
Coyote Run Golf Course
Played On 04/20/2018Fuzzy wuzzy was a fairway
I play this course fairly often. I like the challenge of its layout. Unfortunately the fairways are often more like rough. We had the added problem of freshly punched greens. I usually like the greens. If you play here more than a couple of times a year, it would be worth paying for a pass. The pass costs $40, but the course will give you a free game and a bucket of balls. That way you can get on the base without waiting, otherwise you might have to wait up to an hour to get sponsored on.. I don’t like the first two holes. They are very narrow with extremely elevated greens. The 18th hole is a par 5 that is also very narrow with a dog-leg left. I still like coming here.
Creekside Golf Course
Played On 04/14/2018Creekside goes to the side
I found the greens rolled true although they were on the hilly side. The old joke “is there an elephant buried in the green?” might well apply for a number of greens. I did enjoy them however. The fairways were not sparse but not plush. They were fine. The complaint i have is that they are too crowned making it difficult to keep the ball in the fairways. I still enjoy playing this course.

River Oaks Golf Club

The facilities are nice. They have a good course layout. The greens are unplayable. All the greens were weed infested so bad that the ball would would bounce around like a pinball machine. Just two years ago I would have recommended this course. I hope they can take care of the problem this winter.

Played On 10/12/2017The "Must play" course of Northern California
If you haven't played this course, put it on your calendar. I've played it several times. It is always in top condition. It is part of thr Cache Creek Casino complex. It is in a setting. There are three or four holes that are difficult to score on, but don't let that deter you. The only thing watch for is whe did they last airate the greens.
Table Mountain Golf Club
Played On 09/29/2017Table Mountain grandeur
This course is located at the base of the Northern California foothills outside Oroville. I played from the white tees which allows a short hitter to use wider variety of irons for the approach shots. The greens are very good. I like the layout of this 18 hole course. The clubhouse is comfortable with a good selection. Of food inn. It's restaurant. If you. Have' played this course,I recommend it.
Hidden Valley Lake Golf Course
Played On 10/20/2016No need to hide!
The summer has passed, but this course's condition was like it was spring. I never had a bad lie. The greens were great. They rolled true. There were three in our group, and we never caught the group in front of us. We paid little, but I believe it was worth far more. I definitely will play this course again. Hidden Valley Lake is a real gem.
Turkey Creek Golf Club
Played On 10/12/2016Turkey creek is no turkey.
Set in the sierra foothills, this course is beautiful. Granit bolders, majestic oaks, and well maintained fairways and greens. There are a few holes that course knowledge would or could make a substantial difference in your score. You need to pay attention to pin placement and not necessarily shot for the. (I know, no risk no reward.)
PS. Turkey creek has lots of turkeys on it. This is kinda cool.
Creekside Golf Course
Played On 10/10/2016Creekside oddities
I like playing this course because the greens roll true. However, there is too much undulation in most of the greens. The fairways have good grass coverage. I did not experience very many bad lies. The fairways are too mounded. That is, high centered perhaps meant to drain excessive water off them. The problem is your ball may run left or right into the rough even though you hit the middle! But, I felt the fairways and greens were in very good shape.
Table Mountain Golf Club
Played On 03/20/2015Repeat performance please
If you want a very enjoyable day of golf, go play table mountain. I chose to play from the white tees, but I probably should have played from the blue tees. I shot even par on the back nine! Everything was lush and green. It was nice to hit off these fairways to well kept greens. I've played here a number of times and always look forward to coming back.
Coyote Run Golf Course
Played On 03/16/2015Lots of character
This course was a nine hole course that added another nine some years later. The first three holes are narrow with very elevated small greens. These traps had too much of a dirt mix to them. The sand traps improve for the remainder of the course. There is a creak in front of hole four. Be sure you can clear it or you should lay up on your approach shot. Next is a nice, pretty par three, then a tough par four. Aim at the 150yd marker on this one. Next is a par three over water which isn't too intimidating, but fun. Finally there is a long par four followed by a fairly easy par five. The back nine is the newer nine. You will enjoy this course, but I've played there a few times when the fairways hadn't been mown. Be sure to arrive early to get on the base. I would recommend calling to be sure they will sponsor you onto the base.

I have enjoyed this course on several different occasions and I will definitely play it again. The fairways and greens are in very good shape.
Teal Bend Golf Club
Played On 5/5/2013Beautifully wooded course
Located next to the Sacramento river and Sacramento National Airport this course is lined with trees. It feels like a pleasant walk in the woods. We played during great weather conditions and thoroughly enjoyed the round.
Tuscan Ridge Golf Club
Played On 4/25/2013Blue tees. Several tee shots require a minimum of 200 yard drives.
Rough is rocky and could damage clubs. Too easy to have to look for your tee shot. Our group played slow because of difficulty finding our tee shots. The fairways had too many spots where the lie would be like hitting off hard pan dirt.
Dear Edhull,
Thank you for visiting! We are happy to hear that you were able to enjoy more than just the golf course during your visit. Come visit us when we finish the hotel expansion!
Have a great day
