Shoal Creek Golf Course
Played On 11/01/2016Top notch Northland course
Aside from an abundance of leaves, the course was nearly perfect. The rough was high, but you're not supposed to be in the rough. Errant tee shots paid the price yesterday. I still shot 82 despite a couple of doubles due to lost balls in the rough. Stay in play and the course isn't terrible difficult. I recommend playing from the tips unless you like playing driver wedge all day. A friendly deer visited on the front 9. Played 18 holes in 3 hours and 45 minutes. Despite the course being "full" according to the starter.
Hodge Park Golf Course
Played On 10/14/2016Hidden Gem....stay away
An old municipal course that show's it's age with mature tree's, but new fairways and perfectly rolling greens. I love this course and always have...probably just nostalgia, but I would like to see it unchanged and uncluttered. Nice job improving the course with new grass fairways and great rolling greens. It was a pleasure to see my childhood course looking so nice.
King's Deer Golf Club
Played On 08/11/2016Extremely difficult
I found the course too difficult for most golfers. Including me. I lost ten balls and I rarely lose any. There's not a single hole where there isn't trouble on both sides of the fairway and greens. You have to be a single digit handicap to enjoy this course.
WinterStone Golf Course
Played On 06/25/2014Fabulous course.....but short par 3's
The course is fantastic, but for the par 3's. I'm sure they had no choice to make two of them 100 yards to fit the course into such a small area. I would rate the course among the best in the region if they would lengthen the par 3's, because the other holes are spectacular and a fair challenge.
Gleneagle Golf Club
Played On 7/16/2013Drought stricken course...but getting better
The fairways were narrow due to drought conditions. But this is mountain golf, and you can't expect perfect grass everywhere, especially in the rough. Very narrow course, don't always need driver. Greens were beautiful. I will play it again. If you have never played the course get a booklet from the pro shot so you know what club to use off the tee box. Several dog legs that I hit through. The layout is awesome with spectacular views. There's just too much land to have perfect grass conditions at this altutude.
Nine Hole at South Suburban Golf Course
Played On 10/21/2012Great
My home course and I keep coming back for the nice people, pace of play, and the course meets my playing level....I can par, birdie or bogey every hole. But mostly the friendly staff is what makes it feel like my home away from home.
