Deer Run Golf Club
Played On 07/09/2014Nice course and even nicer staff and members
Played this course as an alternative to Lighthouse Sound, which was in poor shape last year for the money. Went off as a single but a member asked to join me on the first hole. Was happy to have him along; he was a great guy and knew the course so that was an added benefit. Staff was super-friendly and the course nicely blends someeasy holes with some that require good target golf. Course was in great shape and I will play there again when I vacation here next year. I hope to see Jim again and play another round with him. Never played a 19 hole course before, but I like the Par 73, 19 holes.....feels like free golf! Looking forward to the upcoming changes and how the course will feel once they are complete.
Nutters Crossing Golf Course
Played On 07/08/2014Very good course with one small oddity to it
I arrived at 2:25 with my wife and my two young daughters to play 18 holes. It was 95 degrees out and the course was empty, perhaps due to the heat that day. I gave the greens fee stub to the starter and he stared at me. I told him I had a 3:08 tee time and he stared at me a little more and then laughed and said "OK....you got about a half hour before you can tee off" I thought it was strange to have to wait when there were no players in front of me. Very quickly though, the starter caught on and asked if I wanted to start early, which I was able to do. Course is in nice shape and it was a fun round of golf. Finished in 4 hours and left so all in all it was a good round and well worth the GolfNow low price. I'd play it again for sure.
