Links O'Tryon
Played On 06/10/2020Really Nice
It was mid day in SC and so the expectation was that it would be hot. But a small storm had come through the area earlier and the weather was perfect. This was my first time and I really loved the layout and the course was in good shape. They were aerating the greens and I knew this so it was fine- just got me a better deal. Staff helped guide me to know a few important obstacles. It was a really fun course an just challenging enough to not make you lose your cool. I hope to make Links O'Tryon a regular place to play. It was worth the hour and a half drive. (And I played my best game ever).
Sugar Mountain Golf Club

This was an amazing course that I didn't even know existed and I had driven by it many times. First do not follow your GPS, it will take you to the top of Sugar Mtn and it is at the base. The people in the pro shop were very nice. I booked through Golf Now and when I arrived I was paired up with John and Dave (father and son). Dave has lived in Sugar Mtn for 30 years. Two of the nicest people you will ever play golf with. They really knew how to play the course. You will read that this is an executive course- don't be fooled. The course is challenging. It is rare that I have played a course in such great shape. The greens were fast and you had to be accurate with your putts or you would be rolling off the other side. They were sometimes quite a challenge to read. Not only will I play here again, this will be my favorite. It is about an hour drive from my home. If you have ever played Wolf Laurel, you will love this course.
Twin Rivers Golf Club
Played On 06/22/2018Obvious that if it rains, Twins Rivers is wet
It had rained the night before and every hole had standing water on it. I had flown in from NC and wanted to get an early tee time because I knew it was going to be hot that day and it was and humid. The course needed better signs because we wandered around looking for the first tee. To get to the 2nd tee, there was a 14 foot (that is what Denise said it was) along the cart path. There were 4 guys in front of us who appeared to be newbies that took a long time to play (total play time was 5 1/2 hours). With all that said, I look forward to playing the course when it is drier and less standing water. It was still a fun course to play.
Cummings Cove Golf & Country Club
Played On 04/14/2018Million Dollar views - well worth the price of admission
Cummings Cove is a beautiful course- the vistas at some of the holes will take your breath away. It is a wonderful course with 3-5 's on the back nine giving you plenty of birdie opportunities. The course is narrow and I am sure no one else has never done this but I was thinking that hole 18 was the green for hole number one). They were aerating the greens and that did give me an extra discount. Even though the course was packed, it flowed well and we finished our 18 holes in under 4 hours. I will play this often.
Dubsdread Golf Course
Played On 12/28/2017A new favorite
The course was in very good condition even though the greens were a bit slow. It was busy and we were paired with another nice twosome. This was our first time playing and we were able to figure out the course pretty quickly. Hit em straight. A few water hazards did decide to catch my ball, but overall a fun course to play.
Rio Pinar Golf
Played On 12/23/2017Love This Course
There is a lot to love about Rio Pinar. The history and the vibe are perfect. It is what I want when I come to Florida to play golf. It is relaxing and I usually do OK. It is a fun place to play. It is never too crowded and the pace of play is usually good. I am sure that there are much more challenging courses to play, but for pleasure, this can't be beat. When coming to Orlando I always play Rio Pinar and (now) Dubsdread.
Willow Creek Golf Course
Played On 10/24/2017OK little course
First they just had a big rain the night before so some of the problems on the course were from the rains. But the greens were not even and so when you would putt the ball would bounce off to one side or the other. No sand in the traps. If you have a hour or two to play, sure it is better than nothing.
Cleghorn Golf & Sports Club
Played On 05/27/2017Best Golf in WNC
We haven't played this course in a while because we usually play at Meadowbrook when in the area. I had forgot how beautiful and well-maintained course this is. The pace was great. The course was immaculate. The landscaping is beautiful. The greens were perfect. The 18th hole is a grand challenge.
Limestone Springs Golf Club
Played On 05/09/2017Best Course Ever Played
WOW! What a gem to find. We stayed at the condo (which I highly recommend) and played two rounds. The course was so beautiful and the surroundings were so relaxing- you can't help but to play well. The course was pristine. They work hard at making sure that the players have a wonderful experience. Travis was awesome and very helpful. Can't wait to return and do it again. It was worth the 5 hour drive to stay and play.
North Shore Golf Course
Played On 04/30/2017Awesome course- play early
I had a 6:30am tee time and was able to be the first one on the course. It is a beautiful course . It had been dry and so some of the water hazards were low, which was to my advantage since I was able to stay barely out of the dink. Challenging course.
Azalea Sands Golf Course
Played On 07/26/2016Great Little Course and great value
In North Myrtle Beach this is the place to play for fun and enjoyment (isn't that what golf is suppose to be about). My only and I mean my only complaint is that we had a group of 5 in front of us that acted like they had never played before. This should not have been allowed. Or they should have been told to let other's by. It took us 3 and a half hours on the first 9. We then got around them and it took us 1 and a half for the back 9. But will play again the next time I'm in Myrtle Beach.
Crowne Plaza Tennis & Golf Resort
Played On 04/30/2016Can't tell Fairway from the rough
First let me say we had fun. But I am reviewing this course based on the conditions. There really are no fairways. On Hole 3, it was so swampy and smelly where the fairway would usually be that it was almost impossible to play. On other holes, it wasn't just that it was grown up, but there were weeds growing in the fairway. It was just not well cared for. So if you are just looking for a place to hit balls and are in the area- it is OK. But if you are seriously playing, then stay away.
Reems Creek Golf Course
Played On 04/16/2016Challenging and Fun
My fiancé and I love playing golf. It is just fun for us. This is the most challenging course we play. (Even though I did get my first birdie at the 11th hole). The 18th hole is my favorite and if I ever bogey this hole, I will feel that I have accomplished something. Also, the fairways and greens have greatly improved over the past year.
Thank you for your review and feedback. We apologize on behalf of the group in front of you and agree that it should not have been allowed. Next time a situation like this occurs, we will make a better effort to have it addressed immediately. Otherwise, we are looking forward to having you back!
