Cypress View Golf and Recreation Club
Played On 02/28/2023Great course, especially for the value.
Played this course passing through Memphis and was very surprised by the price of the green fee and what you get for such a reasonable green fee. Some of the hole locations were in locations that made you think the greens keeper was having a bad day but overall it was a great course. There is tons of water on pretty much every hole but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be, even for someone with my game.

This was my first time playing here. We played in the middle of the day so it was extremely hot but that made the pace of play perfect as we didn't have to wait one time for players ahead of us.
The elevation changes throughout the course are very unique to this area. It makes this course one of the most fun I have ever played. Somehow, with the summer heat, the greens looks pristine. This course is fairly wide open and forgiving. Stay in the fairway and you'll be able to take advantage of some short par 4s.
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I'm not sure I have ever seen a better clubhouse cafe before. I will definitely be coming back very soon.
Benbrook 3 Par
Played On 07/19/2017Good course for the money
Fairly easy course for the most part but this is a really nice place to work on your short game. The longest hole is around 180 yards so you will only need a few clubs to play a round here. The greens are bent grass, surprisingly. They are pretty slow but are well maintained considering the summer heat and this being a family owned course.
Take $10 and walk nine holes, you won't regret it. Most days you can play nine under and hour and play a couple of balls since weekdays are so slow.
Staff is super laid back and friendly. They really treat you as a regular even if it's your first time being there.
Hills at Pecan Valley Municipal Golf Course
Played On 07/06/2017Fun course that's forgiving
This is a fairly open course so it is definitely forgiving, which I always appreciate. Greens were in great shape but the fairways needed some work but I think that was mostly due to lots of rain prior to playing. I love the elevation changes throughout the course, it really makes things interesting.
Staff has always been friendly and willing to answer any kind of questions you may have. This course is definitely a course beginners should play due to how forgiving most of the holes are. I like playing here because I am familiar with it and I know that it's going to be in good shape consistently.
