ChampionsGate Golf Club - National
Played On 03/03/2024Decent course but overpriced
Paired with a member, he was shocked at what I paid to play. Non fairway areas weren’t very nice. Lots of crabgrass and bare spots.
Fairways were in decent shape and greens were slow.
Not sure I’d pay $200+ again.
Black Horse at Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course
Played On 10/14/2017Crazy greens
I had heard many great things about both courses at B/BH and most were true. I would have to say that the greens were a little too crazy for me and the rest of my foursome. I love a good challenge but it was all about luck on the greens. Many were saddle shaped with steep fronts and/or backs. Just couldn’t a handle on them. I preferred Bayonet of the two. Beautiful vistas on some holes, though.
Black Horse at Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course
Played On 10/14/2017Circus greens
The course is challenging but the greens put it over the top. Many are ruthless a couple are readable and the rest are somewhat in between. I would choose Bayonet of the two
Golf Summerlin - Palm Valley Course
Played On 04/16/2016Affordable golf
Varied holes both in layout and challenges. The bunkers were impossible. Very hard "sand". The backyards of houses that lined the fairways were crushed stone which was tough to hit off of. Didn't want to wreck my clubs. Otherwise it was a decent course for the money.
The Biltmore Golf Course
Played On 02/20/2015Challenging course
I was very surprised at how challenging the course was from the blue tees. The course is littered with bunkers that must have ball magnets in the bottom. Normally I play the white tees (their blue yardage) but I had to move up because so many shots depended on the drives. The greens were fast and true. I would play again at the $105 rate but not $200. Very nice course and the hotel was pretty to look at on many holes
Seaview - The Bay Course
Played On 10/18/2014Great deal with Golfnow
Always great to play Seaview but even better at $39
Woodcrest Country Club
Played On 8/30/2013Woodcrest is challenging but enjoyable course.
Woodcrest is reknowned for being a nicer course in our area. Now that its public non members have a chance to play. Golf Now had a really good deal ($45) that made it reasonable considering daily rates vary from $75 - $ 125. Definitely worth $45
Nickh9508 Thanks for taking the time to review our course on Golf Advisor. We're sorry that our course was not in the very best condition, and appreciate your feedback about our sand traps. We're working hard to resolve these concerns. Thanks!
