Sandpiper Golf Club - Lakes/Palms Course
Played On 12/23/2016Great course
This was the first time playing this course. I have driven by this course several times on the way to Renaissance club but had never stopped here, glad I did finally. The course was full but pace of play was fast. Conditions were excellent. We played oaks/lakes and all the greens and fringe/collars surrounding greens were perfect. Most fairways were in excellent shape. Lots of water but not a lot of woods. Overall excellent time. Oh and for winter, the rates are pretty good too.
Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club
Played On 12/09/2016Great course, great deal
This was my first time playing at Heritage Isles and I highly enjoyed my round. We had an 11:03 tee time and was able to get on the 1st tee at 1045. The newly installed greens were very nice. Pace of play was excellent during this round as we never had anyone behind us and we didnt catch another group till we arrived at 18, this was probably due to the weather as it was extremely cold for our area. I will definitely play here again. Oh and the rate which we paid was great and a strong selling point for choosing this course.
The River Club
Played On 10/22/2016Fun and challenging course
This was our first time playing this course so I don't have a reference point but overall the course was pretty nice. Most fairways were good, some bunkers needed a little work but greens were in pretty good shape. Quite a few of the greens seemed to be a little small for my liking. There were several holes with plenty of hills and blind shots. Most holes are set up needing a precise tee shot. Overall we had a good time but pace of play really brought our experience down. We tee'd off right at noon and didn't finish till just over 5pm. Would definitely play again but not on a Saturday.
Scepter Golf Club - Ibis/Osprey Course
Played On 10/02/2016Quiet, hidden gem in the area
I played this course for the first time 2 weeks ago and found it to be a nice course. I had never heard of the course before until seeing it appear on golf now. I'm glad I gave this course a shot. The back nine of the course appeared to hold the rain a little more as some fairways felt very squishy, but it was to be expected as it rained heavily over night. The course overall was in really good shape with nice greens and fairways. Remember to pay attention to where you are going as you have to drive down many of the neighborhood roads to get to your next tee box. To me this course is a hidden gem of the area. I would definitely recommend.
Thanks so much for your honest review. The Scepter Green Team is working hard to make this the Best course in the area, hope to see you soon.
