Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course
Played On 04/05/2018Fun little track
I played this course as a single while I was traveling on the road. First off, I made the tee time two hours before I played and was going to be a couple minutes late, so I called the course and they said no problem. And it wasn't.
The course is kind of short but it's hilly, and has nice greens with steep slopes. I joined a twosome and since they were walking, I ditched the cart, and used my click gear. We had a great time, I played pretty well and the company was great.
It's the perfect course for that quick value golf round while you're on the road to break up the trip.

Played On 04/04/2018Gonna be Great
Recently rebuilt greens are coming in great, lots of grass, and really good surfaces to roll the ball.
I played on a grey calm day about 65 degrees. Played alone and played two balls most of the day, quickly.
Reviews that report an excessively tight course, are probably beginners. Heather wood is a typical championship course which could be characterized as “target golf”, but primarily because of the elevation changes. I’ll concede the 9th is probably a 3 iron, 6 iron to the 100 plate, single file par 5; which is intimidatingly awesome.
A rangefinder will help from the tee box to select what will not be driver every hole. Landing areas are generous and misses costly. A good test of left to right and right to left.
I really liked it.

The professional staff at The Legends does a great job. Over seeded greens look great, but are slightly slow. We played Black tees but the Teal are back further and close to 7000. Beverage cart never far away. Resort golf - enjoy!

Great day at a beautiful track. Couldn't have been more pleased with any aspect. Elevations, good greens, bunkers maintained daily, awesome value.
If you're tired of losin to your friend who only hits draws, bring him here. 13/14 tee shots favor the fade. Steep surfaces, so leave it under the hole.
Enjoy

I loved the design. Open enough for the novice to get it around, and the better player will appreciate the variety of shots. The greens hold, the ball rolls in the fairways. Pace of play was good. Guys in the shop were friendly, and the burger and fries plate was delicious. We'll definitely go back!

Played On 05/07/2017Too Late
4:20 is too late to get in 18. Course was full and movin at about 4:40 pace. Thought we could finish by 8:30 when we made the tee time. Not today. When it got dark and everyone left the course, we played quickly.
Course is beautiful. Multiple tee boxes let you bite of any to all you can handle. Championship greens with healthy turf throughout the complexes. Great design with lots of variety, give it a try. ✌
Monticello Country Club
Played On 04/01/2017Exceptional Pace
We walked, and actually had to work to keep up with the group in front. Finished well under 4 hours and the course was full on a Saturday. Greens were great for April 1st. Nice variety of parkland holes, a couple of blind tee shots, but the tree lines help guide.

Played On 12/31/2013An economy play late in the day
Took a tee time with 3 1/2 hours of light left. Played 9 holes in 2 1/2 hours. Kids played free with paying adult so Grandpa, Dad, and two boys played for less than fifty bux!
See ya next year!
