Meadowlands Golf Course
Played On 03/19/2017Glad I Played
I wasn't expecting much being pre-spring and having already played a couple of other courses in the area. It was early on a windy and cold morning but the course made up for the unpleasant weather conditions. The Meadowlands was in outstanding condition especially for this time of year. While the rough hadn't grown in yet (but was clean) the fairways were lush and the greens in perfect condition. The fairways set the ball up nice, gave me clean divots (without grabbing my club). My ball rolled true on the greens with a few, but not all, of the greens challenging (tiered or tilted). The staff was friendly and helpful, especially inside the clubhouse. Because of the wind and cold temperature I almost cancelled. I was really glad I didn't. The course turned raw weather conditions into a rather pleasant experience.
Carolina National Golf Club - Egret Nine
Played On 10/30/2016A very nice course but I expected more
First time playing Carolina National and my expectations were high. While it is very nice course especially for the great price I got on GolfNow I expected more. The course was in good shape. The greens were in great condition, fast but consistent. The fairways were also in good condition. The bunkers were the nicest I have seen with soft manicured sand. There are several interesting holes which required thought and more than just hitting long off the tee. The practice green was nice and seemed to be consistent with the greens on the course. The under stocked pro shop was a disappointment especially being out of logo balls. I was put in with a group down from Canada which made my day very enjoyable. I had a lot of fun to playing with them. Sometimes you just get lucky. Overall I had a good experience and would repeat but with expectations not so high.
Sandpiper Bay Golf & Country Club - Sand Nine
Played On 10/29/2016Exceeded Expectations
First time playing SandPiper Bay and I enjoyed the day a lot. I was amazed at how nice the course is especially for the great price I got on GolfNow. The greens were in great shape, fast but consistent which allowed me to figure out their speed. The practice green was a bit slower than the actual greens which messed me up at the start. Had a nice mix with a couple of tiered, a few tilted but mostly flat greens. They were large enough and not impossible to hit. The fairways were perfect. They set the ball up nicely and were soft allowing an easy divot . Their width was also reasonable so when I missed it was my own doing. I shot several strokes below my average and this I attribute this to the above average quality of fairways and greens. The natural areas were clean and woods free of brush and debris. The practice green was large and better than average. I didn't use the practice range. There was a chipping green not found at a lot of courses I play. Overall an excellent experience which I hope to repeat soon.
Azalea Sands Golf Course
Played On 10/28/2016A great value course
Azalea Sands is a good value course. I caught a Hot Deal so for the money I was quite satisfied. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The greens were in good shape, true and very fast. Fairways were in decent shape. The rough and natural areas could have could have been cleaner but did not affect play (there was brush and downed trees that could be removed). There are a couple interesting holes that will tempt you and make you think strategy. The snack bar is decent but with a limited menu. I had a good chicken salad sandwich, chips and a drink which I enjoyed. The only negative for me was the pro shop which is sparse and club house which is a little run down. The rest rooms were clean. Again, for the green fees I paid it was overall a good value. I would play the course again.
Thank you for your review! We are happy that you enjoyed your round and the sandwich! Look forward to seeing you back at the course again.
