Heron Point at Sea Pines Resort
Played On 03/20/2017Do or Dyed
On a beautiful afternoon I just joined three other gentlemen for a round on the well conditioned Heron Point course at Sea Pines. The course was very well conditioned and the pace of play was very good. The course is well run by very competent staff from pro shop through to the rangers. The only issue was pin placement were tucked with numerous holes on slopes. The rest of my group left defeated and unlikely to play there again. I will return for the challenge and conditions!

This is my 6th round here this winter and of the 20+ rounds I have played the quality of course, staff, greens and pace of play has been the most consistent. It will be a real shame if this course is torn up in the years to come!

First and most important to me the greens were in very good condition and reasonably quick. The tee boxes were in somewhat poor condition but understandable given the hurricane. The bad is by teeing off every 8 minutes they had too many golfers on the course. The round took 4:45 and we waited on every tee box.
