I've been playing golf in San Antonio for years and had never made the trip to the Golf Club of Texas. They were able to accommodate last minute tee times on Memorial Weekend, so we decided to check it out. The course was in great shape, and the staff was very friendly.

I love playing this course. It's one of the few courses within San Antonio where you can actually play while being surrounded by nature. The heavily tree-lined fairways make you forget you're in one of the busiest areas of town. The course was in excellent condition. Fairways were neatly cut, and the soft greens were running true with good speed. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I had originally booked a reservation for 2 people on Father's day. When I called the afternoon before, the staff was very understanding and switched my reservation to a foursome just a few minutes after the original tee time.
