Palm Valley Golf Club - North/South
Played On 11/10/2017Disappointed
Parking lot was full but everyone opted to play the Lakes course for the price difference. I will not be back.
Peoria Pines Golf Club
Played On 11/09/2017Course is in good shape!
Staff is always friendly. Instead of having a starter to hand cart keys, he would be better off patrolling the course. The only problem is that play can get REALLY slow with high handicapers playing from the blue tees instead of the white tees. On hole 18, I watched a guy hit his driver 40 yards into the rocks. The group was slow the entire day and did not have the common sense to let others pass.
Palmbrook Golf Club
Played On 11/05/2017Nice Course
Staff was excellent! I was greeted at my car with a golf cart. It was a plus to have free driving range balls. The putting and chipping greens were nice. The only complaint is that play can get slow. A couple of groups ahead of us took breaks after hole #9 and they were struggling. There is no ranger to help keep up the pace. Your best bet is to play early.
Short Course
This course is good for beginners. We finished in a little over 2 hours. The best part of the morning was having 10 minutes to fish a lot of balls out of the water on the back 9.
Decent
This was a decent place to golf due to other courses in oversee mode. The Lakes course did not overseed. The price for this course is steep for what you get. The course was busy and play can get slow. All of the long holes can be reached with two shots. The real challenge on the course are the bunkers, they are basically mud.
Sun City Country Club
Played On 09/29/2017Disappointed
I played this course a lot a few years ago. I played today and it was in terrible shape. The entire course is brown and the fairways are cut low to the dirt. The rough is high. The other Sun City courses are immaculate right now. This course was more expensive than other courses in the area.
North Golf Course at Sun City
Played On 09/24/2017Great Course!
The man in the golf shop always seems to be in a bad mood. I have played this course many times and he is always grouchy. The staff at the South Course are amazing and friendly.
The course is in excellent shape. Play was really slow with two 5 somes ahead of us who were struggling. I did see a ranger one time who did not break up the two 5 somes.
Grand Canyon University Golf Course
Played On 09/23/2017Peoria Pines Golf Club
Played On 09/23/2017This is a fun course to play. Staff is friendly and professional. The greens are rolling nice and the fairways are in good shape. The course could be more challenging if they moved the tee boxes around. The water is murky and perhaps they did that in order to deter golfers from fishing for golf balls :-)
The rough on the back 9 needs to be cut. If you miss the fairway, you will more than likely never find that ball.
We were preparing for overseeding so please know this is the normal preparation for this process. We regret that you didn't know that and hope to have you back now that the overseed is complete and we are now in excellent shape. - SCCC
