Boulder Oaks Golf Club
Played On 03/20/2016New Course
Nice layout and varying shot selections. Some drivable par fours but you better be accurate. The course is a new layout and still in growing stages. Greens hard but slow due to reconditioning. It has a lot of potential and I look forward to playing more when it is done.

Definitely a play for the books but a little pricey for continuous play. Greens are great and it is target golf misses mean lost ball. Course is located at the departure end of palamar airport so if looking for peace and quite that will not happen. Great course not so great location so I believe it's s tad high for green fees as a public course. Views are good and front and back are two different courses.

Good play club selection key on some holes. Some drivable par 4s. 10-12 long and narrow, decent course layout with elevation changes. Unfortunately no course marshals and 5 somes and even a 6 person group were allowed.
Would recommend to play for price and lunch deal.

Course turnaround...new carts make a difference. Greens in excellent shape and although fairways are winter brown they have kept them soft. Great value and great pace.

Course is need of some tender love and care. Greens are just atrocious...grainy, bumpy and hard. Good deal for $20 with lunch...enticing price but if you want to play well then I would pass due to greens. Course is challenging and driver not an option always...recommend GPS. Water on course but no cups...bring bottle. If they get a hold of the course I would play again but until they do I will go elsewhere.

A must play! Just last year the course was in trouble but the new management has completely turned it around. Definitely must make smart club selections as can get into trouble quickly. Links type set up with some blind shots...zips or shot book a must. Greens were medium speed but beautifully soft and true. Must know were mountain is at all times...puts roll away. True to 144 slope.

Great facility decent play great price. Fairways were still dead Bermuda but coming in. Layout is decent through neighborhood. Bermuda greens were tight wound and tough to stick. Lots of elevation changes and narrow fairways. Overall would recommend to play
Crooked Tree Golf Course

Course is busy...pace about 4.25 hours if early. Good practice area. Recommend playing course from Tips...much different golf course.
Course and greens in great shape.
Greens are extremely hard and so trying to stick anything is not going to work well for you. The flip of that is the roll extremely well once on the green.
Slot selection key...driver not always a good choice.
Some long par 4s from Black Tees...460ish.

Unfortunately weather was not great but playable. Staff seemed a tad standoffish but cordial. Players varied but for this day they let off a few 5 some groups and that just didn't help matters. Course has good combination of water, some short par 4s that are reachable so again that doesn't help pace of play much.
Would play again but would no be my first choice however price was low compared to other courses.
San Pedro Golf Course

Course has improved dramatically...letting greens go dormant helped with speed. Fairways are brown but ground still soft. They need to take care of some of the areas around holes but overall highly recommend the course.

Course is nestled in a canyon area near the border. As soon as you arrive to turn into the entrance you can see the course is in dire need of attention. Layout is good. Seemed over watered and several holes had construction on them for water system repairs. Several greens were close to being lost to either mold or weeds. Fairways were descent but there were several drop zones. Sand Traps were severally neglected and basically were all waste bunkers and hard as rock. Tee boxes were being let grown out. Greens need new grass…looks like they are trying but there is a lot of work to do in order for me to drive from Tucson again to play.
Quarry Pines Golf Club
Played On 10/20/2013Good Course
Course coming in nicely from yearly overseeding. Unfortunately the greens were extremely slow but anticipate great condition once shaved. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. It is a busy course in peak season and with no marshals keeping pace in afternoon play can be slow at times.
Dell Urich at Randolph Golf Course
Played On 8/24/2013Not bad...not great!
Pace okay given weekend. Course gets a ton of play. Carts are in need of overhaul. Rough is serious...maybe too much. The most disappointing were the greens...hard and scruffy...slow as snail speed and no where near lush. Layout okay for inner city golf and long par 4s from tips.
The Club at Starr Pass - Rattler/Coyote
Played On 7/6/2013Must Play!
Best greens in all of Tucson. Club selection key on difficult holes. Reasonably priced for summer play. Excellent staff keeps pace of play...we were a twosome and never waited once. Great practice and accommodations expected from a resort.
del Lago Golf Club
Played On 6/15/2013Great layout, great course
Great facilities, staff and amenities. Food excellent at clubhouse. Course is in good shape but greens need a little attention as they don't seem to be recovering well from being seasonally punched a couple of weeks ago. Must pay attention to course as there are some tricky holes. Smart club selection a must on some tees.
