Pleasant surprise

This course was a pleasant surprise. We will probably play it again in our month long stay in the Daytona Beach area. However, watch out, the price of the carts was an unpleasant surprise. I think we paid $60 for my wife and I.. This is a flat and walkable course.

A wonderful golf experience

Broomieknowe Golf Club was a great golf experience...and a great value. It is about a 40 minute drive from where we stayed in downtown Edinburgh. This was the first course we played in Scotland and my wife and I really enjoyed it. This 112 year old course is in excellent condition, the Greens are fast, with subtle breaks. At first glance, we thought it would be an easy round as the course looks very flat with tree lined fairways. As a 66 year old, I don't hit long, but generally straight. I played from the tips. As one plays through the course, the golfer discovers terrain variations and long par 4s which made bogey look good.

This course is not a championship course, but that is not what we were looking for. We found a wonderful walkable course, with trolley, that was extremely enjoyable. The staff and members were great. The clubhouse is pretty basic, but the bar and restaurant are warm and cozy, full of old trophies and other memorabilia. The kitchen opened up a bit early for us and provided a great little breakfast. Members were curious about us and we had great conversations. The only down side was there were few amenities on the course. No water, few ball washers and no bathrooms that we could see - my wife had to find the bushes off the ninth fairway. Still, this was a great first time golf experience in Scot

Great course for GolfNow members

We were staying at a rental house five minutes away from the course. We had been playing golf in the $50 range and the courses were pretty basic. For $20 more per tee time, we played this excellent course. Everything was green with the ball sitting up in the fairways. The course is long and a challenge from the middle to back tees. The greens were excellent. The only complaint was the time it took to get around - I think it was about 5 1/2 hours.

Fine Scottsdale golf course

McCormack Ranch is a fine facility just north of downtown Scottsdale. This is not a great course, but it is a very nice track. Through Golf Now, my wife and I were able to play at a $59 rate (per person), which is a very good price for a nice course in the Scottsdale area. I would easily recommend this course to friends and foe alike!
