Quailwood Greens Golf Course
Played On 07/07/2016Relaxing afternoon on frriendly course
Over the years, we've played this course many times. The course has enough variety and diversity to be challenging, but not intimidating for average golfers. If you are looking for a championship course which requires above average skills, go elsewhere. If you want a fun round of golf where you don't have to go on search and rescue missions to find a bad shot, try Quailwood.
North at Antelope Hills Golf Course
Played On 08/29/2015AH North Course--delight to play
My adult grandson and I played 18 holes on the AH north course. He had never played it before, so it was a good introduction to a traditional course--tree-lined, wide fairways, large manicured greens and so on. Course was well-kept, clean. Worth problem--the slow pace of play. A couple of foursomes in front of us--elderly men--took forever to tee off, to approach and to putt; and they slowed everyone down. A ranger needed to find them, tell them to step the pace up--a lot. What should have been a regular 3-hour round was going to take 4 1/2 to 5 at that rate. We quit early and came in.
South at Antelope Hills Golf Course
Played On 08/28/2015AH Spouth Course--great experience
Clear skies, bright sun, no wind--well groomed course, good partners.
Hard to beat on a Friday afternoon.
South at Antelope Hills Golf Course
Played On 08/28/2015AH South Course--great experience
Clear skies, no wind, warm day: manicured course, fast greens--tough to beat a round like this with a good friend and a couple of other guys. Course was in good shape, pace was smooth, fairways are wide, greens slick. Worst problem--rain put water in bottoms of bunkers (but we were lucky--never hit a bunker).
Coronado Golf Course
Played On 01/08/2015Great value for the money
For the casual, "want to have fun" golfer, this course is a great value. The nine holes are diverse enough to be challenging. No par fives, but the four pars can be touch,. Fairways need water. Greens and tee boxes--very good. Not so busy that you can't enjoy the course, and quite comfortable for leisure golfing. Some TLC would help -- but what the heck, for the money, you can't expect the TPC.
Paradise Valley Golf Course
Played On 01/09/2014Course is good value; staff needs course in courtesy, friendliness
My family and I often play this course when we are in north Phoenix, for it is convenient, a good value for the money, and generally in good condition. But the check-in staff at the pro shop--ugh! Someone on the administrative side needs to train front end staff about being user friendly and welcoming. This is not the first time when we check in for our tee time that the guy at the front desk grunts, slaps a cart key down, and acts as though he's doing you a favor by pointing out where the tee boxes are. Customer service should be a priority, not a prohibition.
Adobe Dam Family Golf Center
Played On 01/08/2014Terrific value for the money
We thoroughly enjoyed our round at Adobe Dam. The fairways and greens were well kept, and the pace of play very reasonable.
We do recommend that new straps for the pull-along golf carts be installed. The old straps no longer have Velcro fasteners that hold; they are worn out and need to be replaced.
Great course for persons who want to play golf for fun--no pressure, no fancy amenities.
Prescott Golf Club
Played On 10/16/2013Course is generally in good shape. Godo value for the money
Our major complaint--very slow pace of play. For instance, we had in front of us a twosome, who had in front of them a group of five--five, not four--who were exceedingly slow. Yet no course ranger came around to tell them to pick up the pace. The fivesome was piddling along--chasing balls into the rough, spending needless time on the green, wasting time teeing off and so on. Course management needs to pay attention to the pace of play. Those guys were holding up everyone...and they just messed around.
Paradise Valley Golf Course
Played On 9/13/2013Good value for the money. Golf carts need some attention.
We've played this course several times when we visit the Scottsdale area. Because of the rains, the course was green, in good condition. Maintenance has managed to keep up with all the growth caused by rains.
The golf carts need a bit of maintenance. They cough and snort a lot, and chug along rather than purr.
In all, a good value for the money. We just wish the pro shop staff were a bit more "user friendly" and cheerful rather than
"We're here because it's our job" attitude. It costs nothing to smile and be amiable.
