My wife and I played the course for the first time but were familiar with the Byrd course. We enjoyed the layout very much. It does have some forced carries but they were not overly hard (white tees). The design presents variety, reasonably generous fairways and well maintained bunkers. Best of all is the deal offered with the round as it includes meals and beverages! Pretty hard to beat and we will be back.

The course is in fairly good shape : the tee boxes were overseeded and now look very nice , fairways are fine and the greens roll nicely. We enjoyed our round despite a very slow front nine. I wish a marshall had come around to get the couple in front of us moving faster.

We discovered Brunswick Plantation a couple years ago and we make point of playing it whenever we're back in Myrtle Beach. The course is in good shape considering the time of the year. Greens aren't easy so take a few minutes rolling a few putts on the practice green before your round! We had lunch after the round and it was great. we hope to play it again before we go back to the cold up in Canada.

This course offers good value for money, has fast greens and seems to be in better shape overall than last year in November. It is a tight course though and some holes are just awkward. There seems to have some work done along some cart paths but some stretches are so bad, golfers have created parallel paths.

We played this course last year, a month after hurricane Matthews and they were still in recovery mode. Now, a year later, the course is in good condition and we noticed a few improvements such as signage. Greens are fast and in good condition for the most part. Staff is friendly.

We played the course for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. Despite the maintenance done this time of the year, i.e., overseeding, the course conditions were quite good and the greens were in good shape. The first 3 holes are testy but the rest are quite fine. The back 9 is easier than the front 9 but has some challenges. You'll find a nice clubhouse and friendly staff.

We played the course on Monday. Granted it was a busy day but we were kept waiting way past our tee time. The course layout is quite ordinary (Bear/Fox). I understand there's maintenance to be done but the greens were in poor shape.

I was curious to see the course as I had read somewhere it was used for calendar pictures.
It is very scenic indeed. This last time I played, I took my wife with me and she really enjoyed the course. It is not overly long and it offers a number of elevated tees, including a couple of par 3's on the front. Although the greens had been aerated the week before, they were rolling true. Great value for money; I sure recommend it. One can also tour Cave Creek after the round.

This is a relatively easy course. We played in the middle of June so it wasn't in its best condition. The final hole is scenic and interesting. We sure enjoyed the cold towels as we finished. The staff is very friendly, including in the restaurant and pro shop.

The morning was somewhat cool as we set out but it progressively got warmer during the day. It was pretty quiet at the course so we could complete our round in 3h15. We like the layout of the course and it offers some challenges, including a few forced carries that are manageable. Conditions were excellent for this time of the year. Crows stole part of our lunch while we were putting on #11, so keep an eye on those guys as well as the fox squirrels!

This is a course we played a few times now. The layout is interesting and brings some interesting challenges, including the final 3 holes of course. Overall the conditions could be improved. For example, despite the dry spell in the area, there are several holes that are quite wet, which may suggest drainage issues. A good example is the par-5 13th. A number of ladies' tee boxes appear to be an afterthought: they're simply set up somewhere alongside a fairway. Quite a few times, my wife couldn't even use her driver.

We played Azalea and Magnolia. The course was in great shape considering the dry conditions prevailing in the area. Fairways are generous and the greens fast. A few minutes on the putting green are certainly worthwhile. Overall, an excellent value for money. We'll be back.

This is not a long course but there are many tight fairways to deal with. A couple of holes feel awkward such as 3 and 6. The 2 closing holes are challenging. I preferred the back 9; the par-3 13th was scenic.
We found the greens fast but dry. Several greens had damaged areas. The cart paths are in a horrible shape. Not a bad value but for similar rates there are way better courses in the area.

We played Piper and Bay courses which were in very good conditions considering all the rain this area received in the last month. The pace of play was good albeit a little slower on the back nine (Bay). There are certainly a few forced carries but overall, they were reachable with decent tee shots. We didn't appreciate the gentleman asking for donations at the 3rd hole on Sandy. Worthy cause but he was a little too insistent. That would not deter us from returning to this fine facility.

When golf gets expensive this time of the year, Starfire offers an excellent value for $. Greens were in good shape but some tee boxes were in rough shape. There are a couple of interesting water holes. Overall, we enjoyed our round.
