Number One at Brookside Golf Club
Played On 01/25/2018Greens are Dead
Worst greens in the county. Hard as a rock. Pitch shots do not hold. Lots of maintenance staff mowing the dirt though. Another American Golf tragedy.
Rancho Bernardo Inn
Played On 07/20/2016Awesome Facility
Can't say enough about the overall experience playing the RBI. The staff is extreme professional, polite, and friendly. The course is well manicured, and in great condition. This is a resort course, and while most are very busy, and slow, this however ; is not the case here. The times are spaced properly, and our foursome finished in less than 4 hours. I highly recommend you make this course a priority, when in the area.
Number One at Brookside Golf Club
Played On 12/09/2014A classic gem.
Course # 1 at Brookside is a true old school classic. You will use every club in your bag. Greens are amazing, especially with all the play this place gets. Some of the fairways are a little beat up , due to the course being used as a parking lot for the Rose Bowl this time of the year. Payed $37 to ride during the week through GN. You can't touch that deal !
Sand Canyon Country Club
Played On 11/18/2013At 49.00 a fair deal, not a great deal. Used to have free range balls.
They have raised their prices, and no longer provide complimentary range balls. Golf shop is not well stocked . This facility has the look of a course in financial trouble, for sale or both. They need to offer some better deals in the fall and winter months. Course is good, but nothing like a private club, as advertised.
Olivas Links Golf Course
Played On 6/30/2013Olivas sets the standard !
Olivas Links is a wonderful golf facility, for all abilities and ages. The course is in great condition all year, and the weather is always moderate. The rates are fair for the experience you get. I can usually find rates $35-$40 mid day on this site, that is with cart ! They have four sets of tee boxes, that are properly spaced, and provide fun for all skill levels. Very friendly for women and juniors. No fancy clubhouse, but thats ok, because you have ocean breezes, and great golf ! Well worth the 45 minute drive from the valley. LA City courses are now about $50 wit cart , six hour rounds, and no grass under you ball !
Executive at Vista Valencia Golf Course
Played On 6/20/2013If you have not played Vista in a while , check it out !
This course has improved significantly, in both the overall condition, value and pace of play. We played at 1pm and payed 23$ each with cart ! The staff is friendly and courteous. In addition they had a marshall refilling water bottles for players from his cart. This course gets an insane amount of play, due to the rates, and the use it gets from the local high school programs, and camps, which makes the conditions impressive. Great place for beginners, and women.
