Mt. Woodson is one of my favorite courses. We really disappointed with the condition of the greens. The starter told us there is a problem that is being addressed. It really had a negative effect on our day. We would suggest giving the course some time to correct this. It's a great layout but the greens alone would make us pass in the near future. Thank you

Love playing Black Horse when we are visiting the area. The layout is fantastic, the condition is good considering we're finishing a hot summer in California. Also, I found the bunkers consistent which was nice. I gave the staff friendliness a three-star due to the fact the front desk staff elected to charge us a $25 rider fee for my wife but didn't charge the other couple we played a rider fee. Just be consistent, charge everyone or not anyone. It was a slow Wednesday. I still had a great time but didn't buy any swag in the pro shop because of the staff. Thanks.

I've played Enagic (Eastlake) countless times, and it is one of my favorite courses. The current ownership group has invested time and money into the facility. But the condition of the course is still disappointing. The tee boxes are shabby, the sand is inconsistent. The rough hadn't been mowed but that is understandable due to the recent rain, but it was unplayable and inconsistent. The fairways are not in good condition. The staff is always great, and the facilities are good. The price point is just too high for the condition of the golf course. Look for other golf options. Come back at another time.

This was a miserably slow round, on a Monday. It took us just under 5 1/2 hours to play. Four groups on the Par 3 number 9. I called the shop to ask for someone to check on the problem. We were told that the morning staff had left but they'd try to have someone check on it. Then at the turn we were told that the course was full all the way around. It was a Monday on a course that everyone is issued a cart. This is what a course ambassador does, encourage players to pick it up. Also, with warm weather, why isn't ice in the cart buckets? The guest need to go into the cafe and purchase ice. Not a great look for the management staff. No ambassadors and buy your own ice. Most golfers drive quite a distance to this course, maybe think about guest service a little more.

Carlton Oaks was in it's usual condition. Not much grass in the fairways, horrible bunkers and good greens. We expected that before we came to play. We don't complain about the conditions, because the layout is excellent. The difficulty is magnified by the wind in the afternoon. These things we enjoy. What we didn't enjoy was the starter sending out a single, on a Saturday, in between foursomes, that was probably an employee who was off duty or a "friend" of someone. This single took his sweet time, hitting multiple balls without a concern for anyone behind themselves. Send your pal out on a weekday, not on a very busy weekend. Thank you.

You get what you pay for: too many drunks on a Saturday afternoon. Some type of club outing stacked the course up. 5 hours plus. The employees try but the owner is just taking the money and not reinvesting a dime into this facility. But it keeps it prices low and you really do get what you pay for. It would be a great investment for someone who loves golf to buy and wants to restore what was a good East County course to its former condition.

I've always enjoyed playing here. The owners are working to improve and have. There's still a lot to be done. Fairways will always be hit or miss due to clay soil. Some areas overwatered, others under. Greens were better as were the traps. Their pricing doesn't make since. On a special rate, play it. This is a $40 weekday and $60 weekend course. That's it. Anything more is not a good value. They've added professional tee boxes which has cost them money but does nothing to improve the course for all other golfers. I wish them well.

old course run on no budget. employees are trying. condition is fair at best. brutal slow pace of play. solid 6 hours walking on a Saturday afternoon. two foursomes in front of us playing from the black tees and they were all 20 handicap plus. that's not the course's fault but some type of marshal might help. stay away on weekends, but during the week at a good price is worth the walk.

good value, paid $23 to walk. Not crowded, took 3hours and 45 minutes to walk 18 as a single. the greens were very good for cottonwood, pretty fast. good day and good value. for the price when I spend $12 to hit a large bucket of range balls, the $23 to play is a great value.

Great, short course that is difficult due to elevation changes, wind and tricky, fast greens. Most players move to the back tees due to the posted yardage. That seems like a mistake for many. Really a fun layout. The only complaint I've ever had and still due at Woodson is that numbers 15 and 17 are short, downhill, drivable par 4s. Almost every time we play there, some idiot goes for it and nearly hits someone on the green. It is difficult to even putt because you know the drive might be heading right for you. How they have gotten away with no warning system (like a red, green light system) is beyond me. I don't know if anyone has gotten seriously injured there, but that needs to be addressed.

Ivanhoe looks like a course that could close any day now. it gets a lot of play because the price is low and golfers who want to play there are willing to accept less to pay less. don't confuse it with the Ivanhoe of the past. we had a good day of golf, with good greens at a good rate. If you want more than that, play elsewhere. If your tolerant with conditions and want to keep the price down, play here.

Mission Trails is a course that gets a lot of play. The condition is fair but better than it was in the past. Bunkers and greens improved. Still a lot of hardpan called fairways. The staff in the shop are annoying. They won't issue you a cart until your tee time. So you have to carry your bag down the hill to the range, then back up the hill to get a cart but not until your time to tee off. The starter, Hugo, is the only employee who can spell guest services. We drove by a lot of courses to get to Mission Trails. Next time, we'll stop at one of those courses instead, We want to spend our money where we are appreciated. Not at Mission Trails.

Eastlake is improving daily. The new owners are clearly committed to making it a top rated course. The greens are fast, the bunkers are good and the fairways are getting better. The only negative is with improvement comes a lot of course maintenance while your trying to play. At times, it felt like we were in the mower's way. It was distracting on more than a few holes.

I always enjoy playing singing hills. the greens were good, fairways good for January. The bunkers are a little heavy but overall a good value.
