I have played this course 50-100 times and always had a wonderful experience in the past. The staff is typically extremely helpful and courteous. However, when I played on December 1st things were different than normal. I booked my tee time for 1 player on golf now just as I have done nearly every other time I played the course in the past. When I arrived and stated my tee time, the attendant in the pro-shop asked where my other three players where. I said it was just myself today and he asked "what happened? Did they cancel on you?" Sensing a slight attitude in his tone I began to wonder if I had accidentally booked the tee time for four instead of one. However, he quickly alerted me my tee time was for 1 player but that his course did not book single tee times and this must be a mistake. Surprised, I told him I had booked a thousand of 1 player tee times on golf now at the course to which he responded "[w]ell someone has gotten it wrong a thousand times." As a frequent player at the course, this type of attitude and rudeness was not what I expected nor what I was used to. Further, to counter the issue of single tee times, the day I played was 50 degree weather and windy and the course was empty. I will be back because the course is convenient and I enjoy playing it but I do not think the attitude and demeanor displayed on December 1st was how UGA should be represented to outsiders. Also, I can vouch for every one else I have ever dealt with in the pro-shop and they are always professional and courteous.

Bar/kitchen is unreasonably slow. Front desk staff was rudest if any corse I have ever played.
I am very sorry to hear of the way you were treated by our staff on your last visit to the University Golf Course. What you experienced is totally unacceptable and we are in the process of making corrections to ensure this will not happen to you or anyone else again.
