Great course

Booked a round through Golfnow ($30.00) what a great value. I have played the Palms course before, but not the Valley, so I didn't know what to expect. What a surprise, the course was in great condition, the greens putted great, it had several holes that were challenging because water came in to play.
The speed of play was ok but not what you expect in Palm Springs. But that being said we were several groups behind a tournament that had 5 holes to finish when we tee'd off. Even then we still played in 4 hrs. and 15 min's. Overall a great course and a fun round of golf, would recommend it to anyone.

Course in great shape.

I arrived at the course after booking my time through golfnow. No one else to play with so I went out as a single ahead of a men's club tournament. I completed my round in three hours and five minutes. And that was because I played two or more balls on several holes. I could have knocked off 30 min's easy. The course was in great shape, greens were excellent, a few bare spots but what course doesn't have those nowadays. The pro shop people were friendly, didn't go into the restaurant so I can't say anything about that. Overall a great course and I would recommend it to anyone.

What a great course.

Oak Valley is such a great course and is always in great condition. We played in four hours and only had to wait twice to hit a shot. We tee'd off early so they were not as busy as they looked later that morning. This time of the year they get alot of snowbirds from Palm Springs. We booked on Golfnow for $ 40.00 and for a quality course like this, that was a great price. Don't be fooled, this course plays tough from the blues if you stray of the fairway, but the fairways and greens were in great condition. This course is worth playing even if you have to drive a bit.

Disappointed

I have been playing Brookside for many years and can honestly say that this is the worst I have ever seen this course. I had not played it for several years and was looking forward to our round. Once we reached the first green it was a sign of things to come. I'm not sure what the issue is but this course has problems. The fairways are in poor condition. Many of the greens had a fungus or something to them, they also were rock hard. Many of the bunkers did not have sand, and I won't even go into the pace of play. I guess I have always felt that this course was special and to see it slide like this is very disappointing. The only good thing is we found a $45.00 rate on GN, other wise I really would have been upset. I say play somewhere else if you can, play here if you can't find a time.
