Maybe better days ahead

My decision play here was spawned by a good-value offer I found on on GolfNow. The sign-in and payment process was courteous and positive. No cart attendant was available to help load clubs or help with directions. I found the starter to be friendly and helpful. The tee boxes, fairways, and first cut rough areas were acceptable although not perfect. The greens were non existant, only pitted black turf much like putting on wavy felt paper. Pace of play only average with my foursome playing a five hour round after waiting on each tee shot. This is a nice course in need of warm-grass growing type weather. Meanwhile their green fees dhould reflect the current condition of the course.

Very Little Fairway Grass

If you enjoy hitting off hard pan fairways this is the place for you. Very little grass make fairway shots almost like bunker shots. The course and golf shop are in poor condition. Golfers looking for cheap golf probably make up most traffic on the course. Very tight fairways with lots of hazards lurking.

Course improving

Since the last time playing this course noticeable improvements have been made. The fairway turf had thickened, restrooms added on the back, and roped off areas near the greens has promoted better conditions for the short game. The long par fours here make this a difficult track for seniors and women. Expect to add five or six strokes to your normal score. The pro shop staff was nice, friendly, and helpful.

Good Turf

Good thick fairway grass make this a nice course for shots from the fairway. Greens are nice with consistent roll. The fairways are tight requiring accurate play. The condition of the overall facility such as the parking area, fences, and tennis courts are unsightly and appear to be neglected with some fencing propped up with poles. The pace of play was very slow. No supervision of the course with rangers or otherwise was visible. I got caught behind a sixsome and nobody acted like that was unusual. My recommendation to others is strictly based on rock bottom green fee pricing.

Cheap But Bare Bones

This is a well laid out track with wide fairways and large greens. The facilities are average with a small clubhouse with minimum staff. On the course little to no fairway grass detracts from not only the beauty of the course, but increases the difficulty of making good fairway shots. The putting surface is fuzzy and slow creating a challenge to score well. The ease of the check in process, cart retrieval, and carts allowed in the parking lot are good feature.

Thin fairways

Played here as a twosome trapped behind a foursome making for a long round. The fairway grass was almost nonexistant making shots off the fairways more like long bunker shots. The price is right, the staff very friendly, and it was a beautiful day. A good place for sunshine and fresh air, but golf experience below average.

Well Maintained - Friendly Helpful Staff

Great staff at this location greet players with pleasant smiles and helpful information. The course is booked pretty solid creating a "wait to hit every shot situation" for 18 holes. However, staff members ride the course to insure play moves as best it can, but it's still slow. Don't forget your DL or you won't be allowed past the entrance gate. The course is well maintained with thick grassy fairway surfaces and acceptable greens.
