How this course manages to maintain a 3.1/2 star rating is a miracle.
No system at counter for checking bookings,
There isn't a pro shop, just a "canteen" style facility with minimal golfing supplies.
I needed a glove and they had quite a few, but they were all women's.
Took 10 minutes for them to confirm my booking.
I paired myself up with Ed from Virginia on the second hole where we found ourselves "stuck" behind a four ball of high handicap members.
And unfortunately that's where we stayed, without any invitation of playing through on the 13th Ed called it a day and deperted.
I battled on, extremely slowly for the remaining holes waiting between 5 and 8 minutes on each tee.
A memorable round but for all the wrong reasons.
Course is laid out pretty good but a course of this rating you would expect it to be in better condition.

A very good imitation of a British parkland course, weather it's meant to be or not I'm not sure but either way it does a good job of it but with better putting surfaces and climate.
Very friendly and helpful staff made my round go very smoothly.
Also a thankyou to Jim from Minnesota who I paired up with on the 8th, a true gent and a great golfing companion, thankyou.
A great day of golf and I hope to return soon to try my luck on it's sister course the crooked cat.
Highly recommend.
