Played here a few times before and always enjoyed the rounds. Unfortunately not this time. The course is badly in need of repair. The greens are terrible, burned out, bumpy and just difficult to putt on.
It’s a shame it’s gone down so far!

Love the layout, however the overall conditions need improvement quickly. Greens are in good shape, tee boxes and fairways need improvement. If you’re going to compete with other courses with the same price point the conditions must be similar. I like the course, not the sad conditions it is in.
Hope management reads the reviews and acts appropriately soon!

Not many courses deserve 5 stars, this one does!
A beautiful, well maintained layout that is truly a joy to play. Although lower handicappers May find it a bit short, there is ample risk reward opportunities to keep you challenged. Greens are fast, roll true and have subtle breaks you may not realize. Throughout the round there wasn’t a blemish on any of them! If you are in the area don’t miss this one, you won’t be disappointed. Looking forward to a return visit!

A hidden gem not to be missed!
New owners have just taken over this year and the could not have been more friendly and welcoming. So happy they have saved the course from a possible solar farm. The course is in excellent conditions with a fair and challenging layout. Looking forward to playing it again.

What a nice surprise! Recommended by a friend and was not disappointed. Checking in we were greeted by the friendly pro shop , manned by one of the owners. The course is in excellent shape. The greens were well manicured and fast. It is a fair and challenging layout . There are no sand traps, or water hazards, however the hills and greens provide the challenge to approach them.
Give this course a try, you won’t be disappointed!

It is unfortunate that such a nice layout is in such terrible condition. The front nine is worst than the back, however the whole course is not in good condition. The greens are terrible, it’s like putting on a Berber carpet, very rough and uneven. Some fairways are very brown and dried out, tee boxes are very sparse, sand traps not raked. There are much better conditioned courses on the area for the same greens fees, of $39.00.
Our tee time was delayed due to a shotgun start which went off the back nine.
Don’t waste your time and money here. I would not recommend, and will not return.

If you are in the area this is worth checking out. An old established track with plenty of challenges for every golfer. The course is well maintained and greens are in excellent condition. It does get a loypt of play so it may be a bit slow at times but well worth the wait. Follow your round with lunch or dinner at the pub, you won’t be disappointed!
I would recommend to my friends and look forward to playing again soon.

So sad that a wonderful layout is in such poor condition. I have always enjoyed the challenging layout. Unfortunately with the current condition it is questionable whether it is worth the cost to play. The greens are in terrible shape, fairways are a bit thin and the sand traps are in obvious need of some TLC. I sincerely hope they can bring the course back to the way it has always been. Would love to come back and see the improvements!

Sorry to report this course needs help. It is sad and unfortunate that such a great layout has gone so far down. Fairways are thin, greens are not well maintained, and sand traps need attention. What was once a pleasure to play this challenging layout has now become a track that is not worth the price to play. I’m hopeful they can continue to improve so we can all enjoy a return to wharf once was one of the best in the area!

One of the best maintained courses in the area. Don’t let the par 66 fool you this is no “executive” course. Plenty of water and sand traps to keep you focused and challenged. The friendly staff is both welcoming and helpful. If in the area give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

In view of the lack of rain in this area the course is in surprisingly good condition. Fairways, tee boxes and greens have obviously been watered. The greens are a bit slow, and could be improved by rolling them, however all are in good shape. This is a nice challenge for any golfer with quite a few sand traps/waste bunkers to contend with. Definitely worth playing, and will return.

Played this course many times, and like it. However this time out the course is definitely in need of some TLC! Greens are brown, very hard and much like putting on a table top. Sand traps are in desperate need of sand and raking. I realize not much rain in the area recently, however there should be an adequate back up plan in place to protect this very nice layout! There are many courses in the area you can play in better condition for less money. If Venetian Bay is going to charge the higher end, then the course should be in better condition. The staff in pro shop and restaurant are helpful and friendly. I hope they read the reviews and react accordingly.

Interesting layout weaves amongst the community, however the overall conditions need improvements. At least half of the greens have bare spots that need repair. You get the impression the course was built with the idea of "rounding out" the resort to give a complete experience. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant is excellent! We may return if the conditions improve, hopefully they will.

No question about it, this is a great layout with plenty of challenges on every hole. The course is beautiful and well maintained. You may even see an alligator or two along the way. Even a high handicapper can still enjoy the round with the various tee placements.

If you are in the area don't miss playing this one. Right from the very beginning you know you are in for an enjoyable round. The staff is friendly and professional and the course is both challenging and "user friendly". Plenty of bunkers so be prepared!
