Salt Creek Golf Club
Played On 10/23/2015Isolated!
I love that the course Is not winding through a housing development!
Stoneridge Country Club
Played On 05/19/2014The greens are the main defense on this course
I played on a maintainance day when the members don't play this private course. Last year they began opening to the public one or two Mondays each month. The price was right and the course is good for the golf ego.
Carmel Highland Golf Resort
Played On 9/29/2013Hit straight. Avoid bunkers.
The course is laid out along a valley so almost all holes have some tilt toward the highway. Stay down the high side of the fairways and you'll be fine. The bunkers are essentially hardpan so bring a wedge with little bounce. Mulligans has decent food and drink priced reasonably as well.
Mt. Woodson Golf Club
Played On 5/6/2013Short course that rewards good shots,
Mount Woodson, at 5700 yards, is the shortest golf course that still provides a stern test. A par of 70 explains some of that and the target golf nature of the course accounts for some, add the subtle difficulty of the greens and there you have it! The last time I played Woodson, there was a steady drizzle with periods of harder rain mixed in and the course held up beautifully. Keep the ball in play and you will have a good time.
San Vicente Golf Resort
Played On 4/20/2013Booking issues, well maintained, great food in lounge.
Golfnow online booking system has glitches on their end requiring customer service to intervene to get times. The course, however, is fun to play. There is room to recover from errant shots within reason. Tee to green well maintained but greens are quite slow and a little bumpy. Nice lounge with great food for after the round. We stuck around on Saturday for some live music.
Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing your review and glad you loved the scenery here at Salt Creek Golf Club. See you soon!
