We were disappointed with the amenities, no food to speak of. Pro Shop staff grumpy and incorrect in stating I paid for 4 players when my conformation was a 2-some. Very disappointed in the greens, still experiencing affects of winter burn from one year ago. Nothing like the Byrd Course we played last year. Overall a good value.

We were treated to a great day and play a classic course that tested all of our golfing abilities. The course was in good condition, fairways soft, and rough short and dormant. Greens allowed for fair pin placements and ability to sink some putts. The tournament committee has been very gracious to set-up this course and allow us to enjoy it, long after we contributed to the success of the Dean & Deluca Colonial PGA golf tournament. Thank you very much.

Booked our tee time with Golfnow, and paid the difference when we arrived. Staff got us right on, carts were in bad shape, no scorecards or pencils. Course condition was average to poor. Fairways dry, brown and hard. The greens were the only nice part of the course. Tee boxes need some more paint, hard to identify. The entire place just needs some TLC. Have not played here in a couple of years, but it has gone downhill over time.

Got the chance to fit in 9 holes with our recent visit to Cork. My former neighbor and member at Douglas got us all set-up to play. Had not played in years but found the course to be in great shape, bunkers ideal, and very little water. Had some wind and was cool, but mostly sunny. It is a tight little layout, easy to walk, and holes that actually cross over one another. Keep your voices down for the greens and tee boxes are very close to one another. Even if you sink a 35 birdie putt like I did on the Par 3, No 7 hole. Worth a look as a option to play when in Cork like. The course distance are in metres so bring your rangefinder. I was able to use mine.

Played the course years ago and even in better shape than I remember. Was impressed with the whole experience. My playing partner happened to be a member and made it all so easy. Simple to find with the GPS, and very little pressure mid-week morning tee time. More in a parkland course with trees, water and wind to challenge you. Due to excessive rain that week, we had to walk, no carts allowed. Pulled carts were available. Consider on your next visit to Cork like! Include with your plans to visit the Jameson Distillery.

If you have a couple of hours on the way to or from Nantucket, walk the front nine. Course in great shape, little sand, no water, tree lined fairways. Greens were perfect as well as the September weather. Friendly staff, great rate. Members let me play through as a single at that got me around 1hour 45 min. Course in just off Rt 6 and easy to find.

Get some good directions to get there, well worth it. Course is wide open, not many hazards, no water and a slight rough. Helps to play with a local the first time, the knowledge is beneficial. The course is fairly short so we played from the blue tees. The green are small, but soft and in perfect condition. We did have a cart, though next time we will walk. Excellent course for beginners and youth. By the time you get to the Par 6, 16th hole, you are warmed up for three long shots to the green. Was a fun round !

Second time at Oxmoor Valley, first time on the Ridge Course. Got tee time via Golf now the night before on our way to Dallas. Many elevation changes, side hill lies, with fairly level greens. This course was in perfect condition and should never be one that you walk. Still get a workout with a cart. Even the young man (28 yr old) I played with, did walk, but asked to ride on a number of holes. Scoring improved on the back nine. Worth a stop anytime you are in Birmingham

If you like wide fairways, big level greens and layout variety, play the Members Course at St James. Had a little mix up with tee times, after I made a change. But got with a group of residents/members that we so very nice and helpful on the course. The golf course was in excellent condition, some bunkers and ponds along the fairways. They had placed red&white flags at the beginning of each water feature. Never seen that before, but was helpful. Houses line every hole but sit back far enough so there is room for the errant tee shot. The third cut rough did swallow the ball, but you can play out. Just we real good 9 and scored quite well. Multiple multiple tee boxes for any level player.

Nice option for golfers in Emerald Isle and around. Booked tee time through golf now hot deals, easy to find, unfortunate that it rained steady for 12 out o 18 holes. Fairways, greens and tee boxes did not get mowed as a result. Greens were in good shape considering all this. Lots of water and doglegs on the layout. Just remember to wear to collared shirt !

Historic course and preserved in time. Very impressed with the course conditions. From tee to green the course was so well maintained. The bunkers we a bit rough. Actually had two cuts of rough and very fair pin placements. Very economical with Golf Now booking. First time to play the back 9, layout was such that it helped to play with a local. Blind shots and few doglegs. All said, if I lived in this area I would consider membership.

This course was more than we all expected. Has a 4man scramble with 4 teams, staff was so accommodating, course was in excellent condition, with a layout to revival some conventional courses. Big greens, elevations changes, multiple tee boxes and fairways on long holes. Very little in the way of water or sand hazards, but there are present. Our players wanted to go around again, but we ran out of time. We played a 7-iron tournament suggested by the pro shop. Only needed one club all day.

Well they just design them like this any more. It has been a long time that I played a course where one hole ends, and the next starts. No need to move the cart. The course was easy to find, thanks to the local knowledge of my team members. The best part of the course were most of the greens. Some were patchy in spots. All the bunkers were mud and destroyed by recent rains. Be ready for some blind shots and elevations changes. I did not expect that in Texas. They have let this course go!

Course and clubhouse have made some improvements in year since I played there last. The grill is now a full sports bar. The range has new range ball machine. Did not really like hitting off the pad on the range. NO way to tee up the ball. The area had been hit by significant ranis and did drain fairly well. The bunkers were full of water and ducks in them. Course is closing July 5th for new greens install. Practice areas & clubhouse will be open.

Our whole group arrived early, so we went off early. Course was in super condition tee to green. Has to be the greenest course in Texas, not one house to be seen, and only one adjoining fairway can be seen.
All you see is the hole you are playing. Our guys found loads of golf balls. Course is very fair, safe landing areas and pins. The bunkers were few, but hard and filled with dirt o sand. Stayed for lunch afterwards and enjoyed the clubhouse.

This course has gone through one big transformation since the severe flooding of 2 years ago. It has recovered and is better than ever. From tee to green for course is super, and all the bunkers have been redone. Course is very playable , easy to walk most holes, and alternates among the 3 nine hole layouts. Our church league has just been amazed by all the improvements that have taken place. I look forward to playing here every week. The guys really like the new carts and GPS systems to assist their game. Lots of jets flying over if you love airplanes!!

Easy to get to off I-35, booked round just one day in advance. First time to play, bag drop was confusing, member told me twice no cars allowed in the designated area. Pro Shop staff agreed it is messed up. Teed off late afternoon, mid-week, very few on the course, course in great shape. Couple of greens where thin and one green totally under repair. Otherwise is was excellent, and bunkers were very well maintained. The twilight rates have started already. Two-some played 18 in just 3hrs 15 min. Nice dinner in the grill afterwards.

We had 5 foursomes play a scramble tournament, road into the course not real well marked got a little turned around, staff made it easy to get off. Course in good shape, except some of the greens were thin in spots. Some challenging blind shots, for first time players a bit challenging. Had real good responses from most of the men about the course. Scores were well under normal, ranging from -1 to +3. Typical for these teams are scores from -12 to -7 for a scramble.

Wow, what a first experience, why haven't I played these courses sooner. I was on my way home from a golfing week in Hilton Head, I would have much rather preferred these courses. From tee to green the conditions and layouts were amazing, scenic yet challenging. I played with two gentlemen who have been on every course on the trail, and I am hooked. Need to get our spring outing moved from Las Vegas Nevada to Alabama !!

Enjoy the history of each hole, and then tee it up and make your own history of playing that hole. Lends appreciation to what the pros make look so easy on the TV broadcast. Very nice facilities, practice area with huge green, all bunkers in really good condition.
