Unfriendly staff upon arrival, somewhat difficult layout, pins cut in unrealistic places which made for a higher score. I'm a single digit handicap and would have like to see a more friendly hole location on many greens. This course charges an additional $3 for their practice area which is fine if you use it. I'm in no rush to return.

Decent conditions from tee to green. Not very challenging with some scorable holes. Only used the driver on a few holes and scored well considering its a par 70. Its a lower end course which is reflected in the price. I will play there again.
Boulder Oaks Golf Club

There were a few things I did like about this course but overall I don't think I will return. I do not like how the design of the course made the greens circus like. Although the holes are rather short, they try to make the green difficult in undulation and pin placement. The greens were in very poor shape but the tee boxes and fairways were better. Multiple blind shots keep things interesting but I had a guide playing partner which made a big difference. Tee to green was okay but once there was anyone's guess. Again, if the greens weren't mickey mouse I would recommend.

I loved the course layout and the pace of play was great for a Sunday morning but the conditions were poor at best. Bunkers and fairways were horrible. I would love to give it another try when they find water.

Although the staff is very friendly and the course layout is great, the conditions remain terrible. Be prepared to lift, find grass, and repeat.

Thanks for stopping by and playing Boulder Oaks. We appreciate you taking the time to provide a review. I'm sorry you found the layout not to your liking. I can assure you we did not trick up the greens to compensate for the length of the course at 6000 yards. The course actually plays harder for the average golfer than the old layout and according to the vast majority of our customer is a heck of a lot more fun to play. I admit it is entirely possible that the pins on some holes may have been in difficult positions for some golfers, unfortunately with the recent rains and some weed eradication applications we sprayed on holes 2 & 3 greens, we had limited pin placements on some holes. However, of the original 18 greens only four were redone during the recent renovations. Most of the course is the original design from 1965. I also played this weekend and found the greens faster than normal, but no unfair placements. I would be happy to invite you back for a roundof golf on me if you would like to give us another try. Sorry we failed to meet your expectations, we will try harder to earn your business in the future. Happy Golfing
