Woodland/Prairie at Tapawingo National Golf Club
Played On 02/25/2019Great winter course too!
I have not played this course in over 25 years, but the Boccardi Family has done an amazing job. End of February, and the course is in great shape. Fairly challenging, but not too frustrating.
The holes lay out nicely. It’s great to play a course with 18 uniquely different holes. Good distance marking in the fairway and on the cart path helps.
Wonderful clubhouse for a snack and a refreshment before heading out.
Pheasant Run Golf Course
Played On 02/27/2018Good course to work on short game.
Very short course. Many holes around 100yards. Mostly pitch and putt. 3 par 4’s out of 18 holes. It was great to work on my short game. The pace was very slow because a lot of novices play this course. Many holes I could play 2 balls, which was nice, but this course should take 2 hours to play, and it took me 3 1/2 hours.
Wolf Hollow Golf Club
Played On 09/14/2017Limited sight and hard ground
Course is not difficult, but many holes are over a hill, which makes club selection a challenge. They have a very nice book in the cart that generally helps you understand what challenges lie over the hill or around the dogleg.
The tee boxes were in bad shape, most of the greens were hard, and the fairways were hard. Based on the sloping fairways and greens, it was tough to keep your ball in play.
Crescent Farms Golf Course
Played On 06/05/2017Fairways are amazing. Greens recently aerated, so bumpy
Once the greens get back to 100%, this course will be very competitive with nearby courses. Probably by late June. We started early on a week day. Play was very fast. Some challenging dog legs and water hazards. Most sand was very playable. Considering the flooding in May, the grounds crew has done an amazing job.
