Coronado Golf Course
Played On 03/03/2019Better shape
The course is in much better shape now that the water is turned back on. The driving range is still a serious issue. Old fences have been removed and the new ones are only partially constructed. As a result, several holes are littered with driving range balls. Wear a helmet!
Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills
Played On 02/26/2019Close tee off boxes.
Course is in very good shape. Tee boxes are rTher close to some greens and often a stray shot can end up on your tee. Great little executive course that lives up to its name.
Aguila Nine Golf Course
Played On 02/20/2019Great Iron Course
This pAr three course has excellent greens and very grassy tee boxes. There is no green grass on any fairway, but being a par three course, golfers are expected to hit the green with the tee shot. Distances range from 46 yards to 178 yards and varying distances in between. We got a hot deal for $5 each through Golf Now and could replay as much as we wanted. We did 36 holes. This was a walking rate and the course is quite hilly so I would recommend it for those who enjoy a good walk for exercise. Pace of play was excellent. This is a great course for practising short irons and putting!
Hello and thank you for your 5-star rating! We're delighted you enjoyed your round. Please book another round with us soon, and thanks for choosing Aguila Nine Golf Course!
Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills
Played On 02/19/2019Cool conditions.
Course is in good shape! Greens are consistent and in good condition. Pace of play while normally is quite quick was a little slow today not because it was crowded but because we were behind 4 walking golfers.
Great Executive course.
Fairways are green. Traps have ample sand and are abundant. Greens are undulating and in great shape. Some very long challenging par three holes. Gas carts. A good course to practise iron shots and putting. Driving range and small putting greens are available.
Coronado Golf Course
Played On 02/13/2019No water
This course has very dry fairways and very dry greens. Apparently, the water supply from the canal has been turned off due to overpass constructions. The greens are hard and almost impossible to hold a ball on the green. The ninth hole almost requires you to wear a helmet because it is adjacent to the driving range that is only partially fenced in. Range balls can be found all over the fairway. Easy walking course.

Cave Creek Golf Course
Played On 01/28/2019Challenging greens
This course has nicely wTered greenb fairways but the rough is dried dead grass. The green are huge and undulating and putting can be a real challenge. The carts are gas powered and the cart paths for the most part are rough gravel. The Cartwe were given had containers intended to be filled with sand to fix fairway divots. Our cart had no sand in the container. Pace of play was good.
Thanks so much for the review. We look forward to welcoming you back to our course soon. Thanks for choosing Cave Creek Golf Course.
Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills
Played On 01/25/2019Rolling Hills
This executive course lives up to its name as the fairways require straight shots because the roughs are very sloped and the ball will roll a long way into the valleys on a errant drive. The greens are in good shape and consistent pace of play was excellent and we finished in 3.5 hours. Good value for your money if you like executive courses.
Cave Creek Golf Course
Played On 01/23/2019Challenging Greens
The course has quite narrow fairways . The rough is indeed rough. The grass is dead and furry. The greens were very challenging in that the pin placements were on steep slopes or on the edge of a slope, but they were quite consistently quick. The 18 Th green has depressions where previous holes had been placed. The pace of play was a bit slow but that can b3 attributed to the slow play of the foursome in front of us because for the most part, the hole in front of them was empty. Carts are gas and are a bit slow. None have GPS. The cart pThs for the most part are gravel or dirt. Sand traps do not have much sand in them!
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing Cave Creek Golf Course.
Aguila Nine Golf Course
Played On 01/18/2019Nice par three
The cours3 is a great course to practice iron shots. All holes are par 3 but one is 184 yards so it is challenging. There is also a 165 yard hole as well. The tee boxes are level, larg3 and well watered. The greens are very large and consistent with well cut and smooth greens. There is no green fairway grass but since it is a par three, your tee shots should be able to travel from tee box to green rendering the fairway watering unnecessary. The pace of play was excellent. Never waited on any holes. Very enjoyable dY!
Thanks so much for the review. We look forward to welcoming you back to our course soon. Thanks for choosing Aguila Nine Golf Course.
Continental Golf Course
Played On 01/15/2019Slow pace.
Greens were rough as it seems no one knew how to fix divots. Played after last nights rain so many fairways had standing water. Tee times were booked 7 minutes apart. We were about 20 minutes behind our scheduled start time. Had to wait for a cart to come in from 18 as there were not enough carts. Very slow round. Waited on every hole. Tee times are booked too close together.
Shalimar Golf Club
Played On 01/11/2019Short course...tiny greens
The course is an executive par 33 course. The greens are very small and average speed. Pace of play was good as we finished nine holes riding in 1 1/2 hours. Fairways are green and in decent shape but the roughs are exactly that rough! The par four holes require accuracy in that some are tree lined or lined with homes. We paid under 6 bucks riding on a hot deal through golf now VIP rates. Have seen it advertised at $33 for 18 riding. Probably not worth $33 since the 18 would require repeating the nine holes. But an under ten rating for nine is worth the drive.
Encanto Nine Golf Course

Played On 12/20/2018Good learning course
Somewhat crowded tee box areas in that they are located close to the previous greens. Good learning course. Pace of play is good. Great value for your fees.
Painted Mountain Golf Club
Played On 12/14/2018Big Greens
The course fairways are green but cropped quite short so your ball gets lots of roll. The greens for the most part are huge, undulating and fast presenting a challenge for putting. The roughs are brown and short dead grass. The course is flat and has a few holes with Water hazards. The bunkers are well filled with sand. The only complaint I would have is that the starter on the first tee, allowed a paired up foursome to tee off in pairs creating an extra tee time slot which didn’t exist. This slowed the otherwise good pace of play. These two pairs actually conferred on the third hole and decided to not join up as they were intended. This was frustrating because it backed up everyone behind them. The course has no Marshall to enforce the pace.
Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills
Played On 12/12/2018Great Executive course
Rolling Hills lives up to its name. The greens are slower but quite consistent and the fairways are green. The pace of play was very good. Great course for learning golfers and great for those wishing to work on the short game. The only issue is that the course sits close to the airport and there are planes constantly coming in for a landing that are flying overhead if you don’t mind the sound of these planes, and you like an executive 18 hole course, this course is one you will enjoy. Be wary of hole number 11, as there is a large hidden body of water that sits to the right over a stone embankment. If you are a right haded slicer, make sure to aim left. The water also comes into play right of the fairway that slopes toward the water on number three, but the fairway is wide and shouldn’t cause any real issues. Great little course.
Ahwatukee Country Club
Played On 12/05/2018Rough greens.
The fairways are green but the grass is still in the early stages of growth. Fairways are narrow in places. The greens are a bit furry as the over seeding is still taking shape and the greens are not cut very short. Consequently, they are quite slow. The pace of play was very good. finished in under 4 hours.
Thank you Kangaroo1 as we appreciate your 4-star rating and review. It is great to see you had an enjoyable time on the course and we hope you join us for another round soon.
Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club
Played On 12/03/2018Nice greens
This course is in great shape. Some holes are cart path only and some of the cart track diretion signs were quite far from the green. The greens were very good and consistent for all holes. Good value for the price at 1:54 which allowed our foursome to finish all 18 before dark. An enjoyable round!
Arizona Grand Resort
Played On 11/28/2018Arizona Grand Golf
The greens were in good condition although were not consistent speeds from one hole to the next. There are several blind holes where the green is out of view. Some fairways are very narrow and require an accurate tee shot. The first five holes were cart path only and because of the hilly nature of these holes, I would not recommend this course to anyone who struggles with walking. We finished 18 in just under 4 hours and found the pace of play excellent.
Thank you for the review, we apologize that the first few holes were cart path only and undergoing maintenance. Thank you for coming out and we hope to see you again soon.
Ken McDonald Golf Course
Played On 11/23/2018Fast greens
The pace of play was 4.5 hours. The fairways were lush and gave very little roll. Greens were very quick ,large and challenging.. course offers good value for your dollar.
