Palms at Marriott's Desert Springs Resort
Played On 05/08/2015Grounds Crew need lesson on golf etiquette
you come to expect a certain level of service when going to the Marriott. I was playing this course on my last day of my honeymoon. I played by myself as I am a 5 handicap and no one (seniors) wants to play from the championship tees @ 7000yds. When I hit the 11th hole the grounds crew proceeded to mow the tee box...while I was on it...and about to tee off. All the while they wouldn't stop mowing the fairway either nor shut their machine down off to the side??? As I played through it hoping to play my way ahead of these idiots on the mowers they decided to drive up on the greens while I was putting. Fun times. It got better when they followed me for they next 4 holes. By now I'm ready to about face my tee shot and buzz the tower, but these donkeys never would've seen it coming. I exercised my better judgement and decided I needed to focus on this tough course layout. I ended up breaking 80, but had higher expectations for my playing experience. I'll probably play Shadow Ridge GC at the other Marriott property when I come back to Palm Springs
