Unfortunately I chose to play on a rainy/chilly day in December, but the good news is I was the only one on the course and was able to get through all 27 fairly quickly. Despite being some of the worst weather conditions I’ve ever played in, this is one of my favorite courses I’ve played. As I continue to play more Nicklaus courses, I’ve come to realize I think he is my favorite designer. This course is a challenge so I would not suggest it for beginners. Conditions could not have been better. If you happen to be staying at the Westin La Paloma (that is the only way non-members can play here), this course is a must. Ridge, Canyon & Hill are all equally spectacular with amazing views of the Tucson mountain ranges.

I was a little skeptical after seeing some of the reviews, but decided to try out this course and am happy I chose to do so. The conditions weren’t as good as Doral or other top tier South Florida courses, but it was not far behind and you could tell the greens had recently been upgraded. The layout was challenging, but not over the top, making it great for golfers of all levels.

I had heard a lot about this course since moving to Miami and wanted to check it out. My main reason I would suggest this course is the price. The conditions were not great and considering it hasn’t had any major events in decades, I’d imagine they won’t be improving any time soon. The east is the more famous course and I look forward to trying that one out next.

Very challenging course, definitely not for beginners. Saying you played the longest course in Florida is a fun talking point, but at the same time the distance of this course is a little bit of overkill in my opinion. I admit I am not someone who bombs off the tee, but having to sink my first putt on almost every hole to par gets frustrating after a while. The conditions were okay, could definitely use a little improvement. I would suggest this course for any local South Florida residents only if you are able to find a good rate on GolfNow or a similar app.

The conditions and layout of this course are fantastic. We played on a chilly, wet morning so the pace was great. Water comes into play from time to time, with it being more prevalent on the back 9. The bunker placements make them hard to avoid and make it so you have to be strategic throughout the round. My only complaint is the rough was a little too bushy making any shot from the rough a tough lie. I know hitting from the rough is supposed to be difficult, I just found it to be a little too much of a penalty. With that said, the fairways are fairly wide which helps to avoid the rough.

This is a fantastic golf course with some of the best conditions you will see at any public course. It is very challenging with a wide variety of bunker placement and big greens. The bunkers are strategically placed to penalize any bombers off the tee. If you can take the Florida humidity, I suggest trying it out in the summer as it will be significantly cheaper.

I was pleasantly surprised with the conditions of this course. The greens were in perfect condition. A few of the par 3's are really short so it's perfect for short game practice. The pace was great aside from one unbelievably slow threesome.

Despite the rainy weather, I loved this course. It was in great condition and the lady at the desk was super helpful. I particularly enjoyed the challenging par 5 18th hole. I was pleasantly surprised to see the carts had GPS systems.

It rained nearly the entire back 9 for me, and I still enjoyed this course. The conditions were very good and I really enjoyed the layout. I played as a single and was able to breeze through, but I think some of that was due to the awful weather conditions. I've heard it can get pretty packed on the weekends.

First time playing this course last weekend, it's probably my favorite municipal in the area now. The conditions were very good and I enjoyed the layout. Staff was super friendly. Overall, no complaints and I definitely recommend.

Despite playing right after a rain storm, I enjoyed the course overall. The price was a little high for a municipal course, but the conditions are also slightly better than other ones so that partially makes up for it. I would recommend this course if you are in the Newark area.

The pace of play was the only major issue I had here, but important to keep in mind I was playing on a weekend. The conditions were better than what I expected. I enjoyed the lay out of the course overall.

I enjoyed this course. It was in great condition and had a pretty good layout - definitely worth the rate if you are playing during the summer. Relatively easy round of 18.

To say it simply, this course is a great value. For the price I paid (just over $25 using Golf Now during the off season), the conditions were surprisingly good. The greens could use some touching up, but I had no issues with the fairways. The pace of play was fantastic. I played solo and finished in around 3 hours, give or take. Several people suggested for me to play on a Sunday as Saturdays tend to be busier. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

No surprise considering it's Alaska, but this course had some of the best scenery of any golf course I've ever played. We were trying to decide between this course and another in Anchorage and I'm glad we settled on this one. The conditions were good and I enjoyed the layout. Pace of play was a little slow at times, but I wasn't shocked due to the fact that their season is so short. Would highly recommend.

One of my favorite courses in the Miami area. If you can stand the humidity, definitely try and take advantage of the off season pricing on Golf Now. My favorite aspect of this course was that each whole never repeated the previous par (i.e. you’d never see two par 3, 4, or 5’s in a row). Loved the layout and the conditions were great. I still have two more of the Doral courses to play, but I definitely want to get back on this course at some point soon.

I’m always interested in playing a Donald Ross course due to the fact that I grew up playing on one. The layout wasn’t bad, but for a Donald Ross course I didn’t find it to be the most impressive layout. The conditions were okay. That said, if you live in the area I think it’s worth giving it a try. It’s not every day you find a Donald Ross course with their prices. If you’re not a fan of water hazards, this is your course.

This is the first course I've ever played in San Francisco and I was very impressed. The views were really nice and conditions great. I found it to be a difficult course, but I haven't played a hilly course like that in a while, if ever, which made it challenging to see where the ball would run. I particularly enjoyed the well designed par 3's. A little pricey, but well worth the cost.

I enjoyed this course a lot. It is the cheapest of the four options at Doral. If you are going to play here, definitely try and get one of the weekend deals on Golf Now. Value of the course was great, but I would feel differently if I paid the normal $150+ in season rate. The hole 6 par 3 island was a nice touch. Everything about my experience was positive.

I grew up playing Donald Ross courses in New England, but rarely was I able to do that for $35.00 on a weekend. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The conditions were definitely not the greatest, but one of the players I was paired up with mentioned the conditions are much better over the summer due to the increase in rainfall. I enjoyed the layout of the course and found it to be fairly easy.
