Good for Locals, Better Options for Visitors

Like the title says, it's a good public course option for locals because the condition is good. There are much more scenic options for golf travelers. There just isn't anything unique about the course. Other courses in the area are closer to rock formations, have varying topography, are more secluded, or just prettier.

They tried to charge me about the same I paid for Troon North, but fortunately they gave me a better when pressed. There is no way it should be remotely close to Troon. Locals can buy a pass that makes this a good option for them and there is even a resident rate which is priced about right, in my opinion.

it's an urban setting. The planes are constantly landing, so there are just a few hundred feet directly overhead. There is a hotel next to the course too. Again, the course itself if perfectly fine and in good shape. It's just not what I expected for full retail price or what I want in a golf trip course. I would try the Stadium Course next time to see if it's better, but will go with other options than Champion's next time. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars if that were an option.
