It was windy, so we chose to move up a tee. Thank goodness we did, it got blowy in the midround!

The greens are impeccable, best rolling greens in the valley under $200!
Greens have a lot of undulation, so they can be quite tricky....but in such a fun way.

The new owners have made a ton of upgrades and the pro-shop and restaurant look amazing. The restaurant wasn't open, but it's going to be killer when it does!

Best value West of the 51!

I live in N Phoenix, so I forget sometimes just how great Wigwam is! Staff were great, course was overseeded wall to wall, greens were a bit firm, but very fast and true.
Saw the beverage cart 5 or 6 times.

Pace was what I expected for a saturday midday tee-time. Finished in just over 4 hours 30 minutes.

Overall amazing condition, love having the entire property overseeded, must cost a fortune...but the price was very reasonable at $95+

Had a great time, the course has a limited amount of carts, so as walkers, we enjoyed a great gap in the tee-times available.
Course was great from tee t0 green. Greens were firm and fast. They will hold good iron shots, but could be difficult for players thinning a 5-iron into them :-)

The woman at the turn was very friendly and had some very tasty brats!

I forget sometimes how much I enjoy this layout, good test of approach shots as some of the par 4's are quite lengthy from the back tees!

It was rainy all day, but the course drained very well and we had little to no issues with the rain building up.
Greens were rolling great and the course, overall was in great shape.
Restaurant has come a long way in the last few years, service, food quality, etc. Much better than most courses in the greater area.

Greens looked like they were a tad ‘long’ but were actually quite smooth and fairly quick.

Sometimes I forget these courses are here and I get mad at myself for not putting them in a heavier rotation.

We played the south course and it was in great shape. Greens were very quick, firm for sure, but very playable.

The rest of the course was in amazing shape.
The staff was awesome, from check in, to the starter, ranger and beverage cart attendant.

I really enjoy the layout. It is a "resort" course, but not as wide open as some others. Fair but challenging.
Great mix of holes, greens are fairly large and pin placements weren't "boring" but not overly difficult either.

I need to start playing here more often...

We love coming to Springfield! The course has improved in all aspects over the past year or so. Greens are the best we have seen in 3-4 years!
The staff are always super friendly and eager to answer any questions. The new Grill menu is great too! Now we can just grab some apps and beer after the round! (Fried pickles? Cheese Curds? Yes please!!)

For a senior community, it doesn't have that feel. Everyone is super friendly, we were paired with a twosome that play twice a week and have been for 30+ years...AMAZING. They were so nice.

They just remodeled the bathrooms, and they look like a swanky hotel! The folks know how to make sure the details are kept up.

What a great golf course. Old school Sun City layout, but more character than most. Greens were super quick, very firm, and in great condition. It took a few holes to get used to the firmness, but was definitely manageable

The gentleman in the pro-shop was super informative, genuinely nice and helpful. I enjoyed his conversation and input

We were worried with how busy it looked and then getting a small shotgun off a few minutes late, but we played in 4:25 on a busy Saturday. Kudos to the staff for managing the course so well

Restaurant service was friendly and the food was very good.

Overall, I will definitely be back

Had the distinct pleasure of playing Moon Valley today. Course was in fantastic shape. Greens were some of the fastest in the valley, smooth, firm and running true. Tee to green was lush and well manicured. I forgot how much I loved playing this facility. Of all the private courses within 25 minutes of my house, this is the one I would join if I had the time in my schedule. Amenities are all top notch and the staff make everyone feel at home, even guests!

If you get lucky enough to get a chance to tee it up here, take full advantage!

Bellair is a great executive course. A bit old-fashioned, but the staff is super friendly! Course is in very good shape, as it is most of the year. A decent amount of length, considering the executive layout. A good test of par 3's and par 4's.

Food was excellent, as was the staff in the restaurant. I look forward to playing again!

I had a great round this past Saturday. I arrived to see a cart with my name and tee-time right out front (nice touch) and was greeted with a warm and friendly hello ! as I walked in the pro-shop. Range balls were very fairly priced and the staff was very pleasant about reminding me that it would be cart path only as they had just come out of overseed.

The course is in great shape, even considering how soon they had re-opened. Greens were rolling great for this time of year. The course itself is a good, fair, fun test of golf. Many big trees, which reminds me of "home" and one of the reasons I like coming here.

Had a great time and pace was very good for a mid-morning, Saturday round!

I'll be back for sure.

Sometimes I forget how much I like certain courses in Phoenix, especially with so many to choose from. But I was quickly reminded how much I like this course.

The staff were super friendly from the Pro-Shop to the grill to the cart guys! Course was in great shape and the pace was excellent for a Sunday Afternoon round. I was a bit surprised at how good the pace was, considering how busy they were, but we barely waited at all. The Ranger did an excellent job that day!

It's not the longest course, but it is fun and fair. You would think, at the length, that it would come off as "quirky" but it is a solid test of golf.

I forgot how fun this course could be and will certainly be putting it back in my rotation!

I haven't played Orange Tree in a few years, but found myself there on Labor Day. The course was in great condition and the greens were full and receptive. The entire course was in great shape. They had a bit of maintenance going on, on #9 but the Pro-Shop, Starter and Range all made sure we were well aware of the slight issue.

Beverage cart attendant was very nice, had plenty of cold beverages and we saw here multiple times, even on a busy holiday round.

The starter, "Coach" was very friendly and we were happy to talk to him more than once about the fine history of the property.

Overall, we had an excellent time and I will definitely keep them in my rotation going forward!

I truly love Legend Trail. It is one of, if not my favorite course in the greater Phoenix area. It is a fair test of golf, that builds throughout the round. Starting off easy and gradually getting more complex as the round goes on is a great feat of the designer!

The Pro-shop is always well stocked and has some great offerings. The staff is attentive and personable.

The course was in amazing shape for early August, but I have never been here when it wasn't!

F&B is slightly limited in the summer, but they were still more than accommodating as they even turned the grill back on after closing to grill up 2 quick hot dogs at the turn. The staff was super friendly about the situation and was very interactive and attentive during our wait.

The beverage cart made last call while we were on the front nine, but she communicated this fact twice with us and was more than helpful in our options on her last stop.

The staff and superintendent should be very proud of the work they do. We always have a great time here and will look to play here more regularly in the future! It rivals all of the courses in the nearby vicinity without the hefty price tags!

I got the chance to play Great Eagle this past weekend. I was a bit surprised by the reviews I had seen, not sure what the previous folks were expecting in July in Arizona, but I thought the course was in great condition for this time of year. Tee to green, the course was very playable and little to no issues with "bare spots" or anything of that nature. There are some areas way off the fairways and rough that aren't great, but you shouldn't be that far off line at any time.

The restaurant was incredible, 15-18 TV's, great food super fun atmosphere! I would definitely recommend staying and grabbing a bite to eat!

The course is a good test of skill , but fair to almost any skill level. Putting surfaces were smooth, quick and receptive. a great deal for the cost!

I absolutely love the new design. The new owners did a great job of mixing new modern design with classic Mt. Shadows golf.

The Pro-shop is fantastic and the views can't be beat. Great test of skill as most of the greens, being their only real defense, were very undulated. Not ll, as it is a good mix of challenge and fairness.

I don't understand who couldn't love this track. It is a refreshing change of pace from the "normal" courses. A great, quick break from the "norm".

Golf staff were great, Rusty's (I believe that was the name) was a great place to catch the sunset and have some cocktails.

It did help that I was able to even out the bet on a "press" on the wager hole, which was a pleasant design and a great concept.

Do listen to the "old school" people, this is a new and refreshing change to the sport and the lifestyle!

I was fortunate enough to play Hillcrest this past Saturday. The course was in fantastic shape. Tees, fairways and greens can compete with anyone in the valley. They are currently remodeling their cart paths, which they mentioned before we went out. The paths that are still on the course are in great shape. They have some areas where the cart paths have been removed. If you know the rules of golf, these areas are ground under repair and are a free lift, which would not effect you in any way. Some fairway bunkers were hard, but that just made them easier to get out of. All greenside bunkers had been groomed and were soft enough to get out of.

We saw the Beverage Cart multiple times and she was more than attentive.

I moved from the west valley awhile ago and it had been some time since I have played Hillcrest. I was very happy with my choice. The staff is really putting time and effort back into the facility and it shows.

Course was very nice, although short, it plays tough for all levels with great design

Pro-Shop was nice and the staff attentive. Marshall was an angry, grumpy, unfriendly man who never got out of his cart or told us anything about the course on our first visit. Least engaging human I have met in a long time

Thankfully the Beverage cart lady more than made up for the lack of service from our marshal, even going far enough to apologize for his lack of professionalism

Overall the course has great views, very good conditions and a good atmosphere

It's a demanding market in Amelia and they are doing things fairly right.
