White Heron Golf Club
Played On 04/04/2022Much improved, still beautiful!
This course has always had a beautiful, interesting and challenging layout. We used to love it for the wildlife, staff friendliness & layout. All those features are still present. The course has been vastly improved - fairways & tees are in good condition, most greens are ok (some in process of repair or need replacement), and new plantings are apparent around the course. But it needs a Marshall! The pace was way too slow.
Foxbridge Golf Club - South/North
Played On 11/13/2020Play the front nine!
This is a good course to play and walk nine holes - but be sure to be on the front nine. The back nine is a completely different course - very hilly, very challenging, difficult to walk, and the walk from #9 to #10 is 20 minutes at least.
Foxbridge Golf Club - South/North
Played On 10/17/2020First 9 enjoyable
The first 9 were fairly enjoyable but many areas on the fairways are bare of grass and nearly unplayable. Some of the tees are in poor shape too. But no one warned us about the ‘walk through the woods’ of at least 20 minutes to get from the 9th green to the 10th tee. The round, including the walk between the South 9 & the north 9 took us over 5 hours. The back 9 conditions were as bad if not worse than the front 9. And very steep hills - a workout for walkers.
Cypresswood Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/08/2018Best value around
This course is the best value going for a pleasant round of golf. Generally the fairways are wide open so that mishit balls aren't hard to find. The greens are disappointing - bare spots, weeds, etc. This course is in need of some investment to bring the fairways, tee boxes and especially the greens up to a better standard. Still, we enjoyed the course and will come back again - the value is unbeatable.

This is our favourite course! It is a very good course for women to play, with great advantage on the tee but tee boxes placed to provide a challenging experience for women's play. We always enjoy playing this course and find all the staff very friendly and helpful.
Cypresswood Golf & Country Club
Played On 11/21/2018Excellent value, pleasant experience!
This was our first time playing Cypresswood, and we will definitely play here again. The course was a good length for ladies' play, just challenging enough with some water (but only one carry), some traps, and a few doglegs. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the pace was perfect, the carts had good brakes, and all in all we had a very pleasant round of golf. Course conditions are quite good in some areas, but only average in others. Our tee boxes were all good and grassy; the greens were mostly good but with some dead patches; the sandtraps had good, soft sand.

We got a Hot Deal on GolfNow, which was excellent value. We thoroughly enjoyed our round, from the courteous staff and valet parking at check-in through to the drinks and food overlooking the course after our round. The course is in very good condition and we enjoyed the perfect greens and tees. We did wonder why the areas between fairways were filled with weeds when the rest of the course is so beautiful. I thing management should address this. I also was quite disturbed by the 15th hole which is virtually unplayable for a woman - a par 3 at 147 yards over jungle with a small gap between trees to see / shoot the green and no pathway to play a shorter drive. If I play again, I will likely skip this hole.
Providence Golf Club
Played On 04/19/2018Don't Waste Your Time
We were extremely disappointed in our round at Providence and don't recommend playing this course until it has been improved. We weren't told when we booked that only the back 9 was open and had to be played twice. The greens were dead grass painted green and at least two of the tees were also dead. The course looked unkept and there were no workers out doing any work such as trimming. The fairways were hard and dry. Pace was extremely slow. I understand the greens are being redone but this was unacceptable. The course should show on Golf Now these conditions and restrictions.

Played On 04/09/2018Course still not back to former glory.
We had great hopes that Ridgewood Lakes would be back to the condition it was a year or so ago. However, we were disappointed. The cost to play is much too high for the condition of the course. And we were shocked to have to pay $39 each for two sets of rental clubs. We won't make that mistake again. I sincerely hope that the owners will re-invest in the course, water the fairways, tees and greens, trim the trees and bushes and make this into the beautiful, lush course that it used to be. We've given this course a try every time we return to our home - I'm afraid this was its last chance.
Providence Golf Club
Played On 12/03/2017Wait another week before playing this course.
We usually love this course but the greens have been overseeded and do not play well at all. Given the current state of the greens and the cart path only rule, the price should have been heavily discounted. We will wait for another week before we go back. Otherwise we always enjoy this course - it's challenging but fair, great layout, lovely clubhouse.

Played On 11/19/2017Hope new management will improve course conditions
We have always loved Ridgewood Lakes GC for its interesting layout and great value for money. The staff were always friendly and it was a very comfortable clubhouse for drinks and meals. However, the course is not in good condition - greens are damaged, tees are bare and hard, and fairways are dry. We still had a nice round, and the rates are very reasonable, however we will wait and hope to see if conditions improve under the new management.

Played On 05/16/2017My favourite course in Florida!
This is a beautiful course with scenic views of forests and orange groves. It is a very challenging course due to layout, slopes, sand traps, and large difficult greens. What I like most is that it is a very woman-golfer-friendly course while still being very challenging for the average-to-advanced male golfer. This course is a bit like Southern Dunes but at a much better price point. Every shot must be calculated and hit strategically. The course is beautifully maintained and in excellent condition. The staff are super friendly, helpful and polite. All in all, this is my favourite course in Florida.
Willowbrook Golf Course
Played On 05/11/2017Good course for practice round, 1st round of the season and value
This course is a 'rural' course frequented by local golfers - long and relatively open but it is not scenic or lush. Use it for your first few rounds of your vacation as a practice or warm-up round. The pace is fast, especially for a long course. Both staff and golfers are friendly and easy-going. The fairways are dry and sometimes it's hard to find good grass to hit off. Having said that, we like the course and it is good value.
