The course is in excellent shape,. The crowded conditions were likely a reflection of that, but well worth the wait on a number of holes. The weather was a perfect 70 degrees.

There was an issue, not a result of course management. A person in a reflective vest was stopping golfers and (aggressively) asking them to sign his petition to get rid of golf. He essentially demanded to know why a golfer wouldn't sign it, looking to provoke profanity or even violence. Another person hovered nearby, with a cell phone, recording everything.

Otherwise, a great day.

Despite several days of rain and cold preceding this round, the afternoon warmed up and the conditions were perfect. Always an enjoyable round at Starfire Mulligan 9.

Always an enjoyable round. Challenging short and long holes. Plenty of picturesque water hazards, and lots of opportunities to swing away.

This course is perfectly maintained, and its lush vegetation could make you forget it's the desert. At the same time, the use of elevation and alignment makes the combination challenging.

The staff handled a large number of golfers well, and the various facilities are among the best. On this particular day the weather was perfect. This course likely provides a great round even if it isn't.
