Lansbrook Golf Club
Played On 04/29/2017Good in the locality
This part of Florida needs rain, none more so than the local courses. But this course has been kept well, there are relatively few bare patches on the fairways, the tee area could be better, but the greens are excellent, both fats and true. Pace of play was OK although there was no marshall, and the course layout is testing with a lot of water. Par 3s all require a drive over water. Will play again.

One good thing about this course is that it is in good condition at every level, and that did lead to an enjoyable playing experience. The scorecard gives the maps for each hole, very useful as there are some sharp doglegs and long holes. Not an easy course, and one that needs good club selection rather than simply long shots. The course is quite open in places with reduces the eye appeal, but many of the hazards that can reduce shots lie just off the fairway.

This is a nice friendly course, but needs a lot of TLC. The fairways and tee areas are patchy and it is only the greens that save this from being very disappointing. One other feature is that there are no fairway maps, either on the scorecard or on the tees. It is difficult for first time players to know the shape of the holes and the hazards that they need to overcome. But the pace of play was good, staff very helpful and for the discount it was worth it.
