Really need to play with someone who knows the course. Landing areas, forced carries and being on the correct sides of fairways. I'm a single digit player and this course gives me trouble to deal with on most holes. Greens are tough reads too.
Picturesque with awesome views.
Oh and stay out of the rough and sensitive area if you want to go home tick free.

Couple of target holes on back nine. Fairways, greens and bunkers good shape. Driving range needs new balls, however, grass slots
First time playing and will have better feel for course next time.

Open layout, no wind protection here at saddle brook ranch. Pro shop done Still building out facilities, so no restaurant.
Pretty straight forward except for 10 and 11. Which are forced layups along with the second par five on the back nine. Greens roll true, bunkers were wet and hard. Overall, give the course a go with reasonable rates.

Rude pro shop staff. 80 year old pro shop counter guy. This is guy needs to be retired to the couch of his home. Seriously, bad attitude and greeting of golfers as they come into a pro shop is a no brainer.
Muni track in bad shape.

Course in over seed mode. Rough greens and fairways. Cart path only. Bunkers need work too. Like the lay out and price chalk it up as a practice round. Staff and beverage cart attendant very accommodating. Just wished the greens were in better conditions. Getting ready for snow birds to arrive.

Staff courteous and helpful. Just open after over seed cart path only. Country club resort facilities. Nice layout, pay attention to signs layout. Lot of driving to holes. Short course if you play on any of tees except the black. Lush and great coverage. Green roll true.

You don't need to be long just down the middle with right yardage. Some holes set up better being on right side of fairway too. driver on just two holes with hybrid and 3 wood on most holes. There's a short funky hole with two short landing areas on the back nine. 230 to hole took 3 wood to drive green too much club lol. Playing this course again would change many of my shot selection

Haven't played this course in ten years Dianne I worked there going while going to school. Terrific bell course with small greens. Best shape I've it seen it. Warning if playing with wind present you better be able to hit a low ball. Bunkers good sand coverage. greens true not fast. Play this course if you get the chance.

Too bad the snack shack or Bev cart weren't running. Loss lot of income being a holiday.

Bring your game you're need it here, every shot will challenge you. Greens slow but consistent. Starter little crusty and needs to be personable. Thinking he was a former service officer or principle. Nice range. Really need to play with someone who knows the track.

Always cool to play when virtually no one on course when start at 10:00. Recent rain wiped out most of bunker fortunately only in bunker once. Fairways and greens good conditions. Not a long course, using three wood and hybird off many holes.

Slow slow slow. 3 hour front nine. Walk off course on the 16th. I have played this course on numerous times and it always plays slow, however, this time was horrendous. Like the track, just not the pace of play. So, if you have the time play the course. Beware.

excellent course,this course makes you think . pay close attention to cart screen and landing areas. One of the most picture perfect courses the greater tucson area has to offer. came across a gila monster on the back nine on cart path taking a drink from water on path, pretty cool.

tight short course, play super bowl sunday at 9am had the whole course to myself.. greens awful right now other wise course very playable ,really dont need the driver. I used the driver once and still shot one under , just wondering if the greens were better? maybe not just putt not thinking about anything but back of cup...

course in good shape, fairways well defined but you need to know which side gives you best approach and wider landing areas. couple of drives well struck landing in fairway only to find ball rolled through leaving not a chance for green. I played the blues/white combo at 6459 yards, while the rest of the old timers played white 6216 yards forward tees. not a long track just need to be played a few times for course knowledge. course members not much help with their advice lol. lots of old timers out at this nice layout.

Plays along the Catilina mountains outside of Oro valley. Worth the drive. lush farirways, sand in traps,nice greens but slow rolling. Resort and Country club atmosphere to the course. Seniors everywhere LOL ie:pro shop staff,starter, players, pickle ball courts??? I am 56 and I was walking around feeling like a kid. Seriously, the course can be tough to play so play the right tees and take the advice of someone who has play the course, need to think about your shots around this course.

This course is so close to my home and i have never played it,just goes to show you sometimes the best things are right in front of your nose. watch out for those speed bumps driving into the course sheesh..Really nice practice areas.
Staff great and let me play with a three some going out early, course in excellent shape with greens rolling true,bunkers a little rough. only complaint is the old guys in front of us who were two holes down,ok maybe not that old but they were slowwwww.

Don't rely on GPS takes you back of course Wide open fairways, some middle fairway bunkers to be aware. No sand in bunkers and water, need to address this with drainage possibly French drains. Fairways to green excellent coverage. Some greens look like they have chemical burn lines, otherwise they roll nice. Third time playing, first time no wind and it plays easy without it blowing. Nice open track with excellent value.

Staff friendly, just wish they told me tee Time was delayed. Found out through other players waiting at first tee. 12:10 tee time 1:15 1st tee finished 5:46. Very slow play no Marshals. Course good shape greens roll well bunkers need attention with consistent level of sand. I recommended this course, however, there are other courses which offer a better price without the issue of slow play. Just my gripe and frustration waiting at every tee box with couple of groups in front.

Great value. Not the best part of town , however, if want a course that has value for the price with a little history look no further. Tucson open was played here back in the day. Apparently , there was a storm that pass through and wipe out the majority of trees which once line the course. So you long hitters will have a field day with shooting for the pins. Small greens usually slope back to front. You can cut some of the dog legs for easy wedge shots.. Fairways hard and roll for extra yardage. Long par threes. I like this type of course over a target course any day of the week. Play this course for the value and no frills or gimmicks.
