1st time playing Whiskey Creek. Knew course had an excellent reputation from what friends have told me.
Staff is very thorough here. Had both the GM and Marshall come over to our group a couple of times apologizing for the slow pace of play.

Course was in great shape. Slight aeration on some of the greens. Surprised that the pro shop had no yardage books for sale.

Will definitely come back to play Whiskey Creek again this Summer!

Took nearly 6 hours to play 18 holes mid afternoon on a Sunday. The twosome that got paired up with me and a friend even left after the 14th hole; it was that slow!
Great layout, Gary Player design. Some of the bunkers were still flooded (due to severe rain in the D.C. Area) the last two days.

Broad Run is not s typical Par 3 Executive or Muni type course.
It offers a full Par 5, Par 4 and 2 Par 3s. Can also play it as 18 holes by repeating the first nine and switching up the tee box locations.

Course is not in the best of shape. They have switched up the scorecard, so that the back nine are holes 1 -9 and the front nine are holes 10 - 18. No explanation as to why they did this. Bunkers have rocks in them, and I could have easily broken a wedge on the very first hole I played out of a bunker!! :-(

Finished 18 holes in about 4 1/2 hours. Found a good rate with a hot deal on Golf Now. Will probably come back to play Pendebrook again. Course is in good shape.

Overall course conditions were fine. Pace of play for a weekend round was surprisingly good. Played 18 holes in about 4 1/2 hours. Tee boxes were also moved up.
Only complaint was the condition of the rough. They need to trim it down.

Be prepared to play a 5 or even 6 hour round on the weekends. Course gets backed up with all the league and corporate outings that take place on the weekends.

Greens are quick! Course was in good shape.

Played NW Park to get ready for a tournament round the following day.
