Wildcat Golf Club - The Highlands
Played On 08/20/2022Nice Track
I really enjoy playing this course. The only issue this time was the greens were just punched. Maybe another week or two and it will be awesome again.
Tour 18 Houston
Played On 09/26/2018Great Round!
I really like this course. It was in really good shape today, though it was a little wet from rain last night. Greens rolled smooth. Lots of different conditions. Did not play out of the sand but once because of the rain. We played cart path only and it wasn't an inconvenience at all. Can't wait to play again.

Played On 03/24/2018Disappointing
Picked up a round here on Saturday. The greens were just...well...dead! I have never seen them this bad. I really like the layout, but I think they should warn us that the greens are gone! Will try again in 2-3 months!

I hadn't played this course in a while, so I decided to just pick up a round off GolfNow and play solo. My first big disappointment was a sign in the Pro Shop that announced that they were aerating on that day. The ground were terribly hard and cracking. And there was no beer girl.
The Rawls Course at Texas Tech
Played On 07/29/2016Tough But Fun Course
I was in Lubbock for my son's college orientation at Texas Tech, so I decided to play a round of golf. Little did I know that they were having a tournament, so the earliest round available was at 5pm. The sun was still beaming and course played very well. The greens rolled true, but some of the pin placements for the tournament was just CRAZY! There was also plenty of wildlife on the course! I played alone, so I was paired with two guys that have played the course a few times and even they said the hole placement was tough. It was pretty dark by the time we made it to 17, but we were determined to play the entire course. Can't wait to go play the course again, I mean visit my son in college...lol.
La Quinta at Quail Valley Golf Course
Played On 07/03/2016Tough Course
Though this is not the best of the two courses (El Dorado is much better), this course does present a challenge to me. I am an 19 handicap golfer, but just can't get below 100 on this course. There is still a lot of St. Augustine on the course and the sand is hard and compacted, but it really is a nice course to play. The greens rolled fast and are in good shape for July.
Classic layouts can be tough with smaller, elevated greens. The greens are indeed on solid shape and we're working on the sand and st augustine after all the rain. Thank you for the feedback and coming out.
Wildcat Golf Club - The Highlands
Played On 07/02/2016Nice Round(s)
Got a good deal to come out and play this course. It was hot and there was little to no breeze! My only gripe was that the greens were recently aerated and were sandy (I did not see any warning of this when I booked). The fairways were well maintained and the bunkers were even in pretty good shape. The course was so wide open, that my partner and I actually played two rounds! If you want to play into some hills with blind shots, this is a great course. I would definitely play it again.
Thanks for coming out! Sorry for the greens, but we try our best to get the message out there. Greens are coming along nicely, and we hope you will try us again soon once the greens recover fully from the aerification. Thanks!

I love this course. It is actually my home course. I got a great deal on Golf Now as this course is usually expensive to play. They have made a lot of improvements to this course. It plays very well. Can't wait to play again.
Pearland Golf Club
Played On 11/05/2015Nice course with nice additions
I played this course a few days ago because I wanted to see how the back 9 renovations turned out. I always have difficulty on the front nine...and that day was no different. I hit a 48 on the front 9. Greens are fairly hard and run really fast. The back 9 was refreshing. There is more water present and I hit it a few times. The greens actually play really nice. The only problem is that the back nine is cart path only. Also, they have another upgrade...they have GPS navigation on the new golf carts. The distance is still a little off, but I like it. All this for a $10 round on GolfNow!!!!
Houston National Golf Club
Played On 08/31/2015Great Course for the money
I played this course with a buddy using a Hot Deal, $25. The fairways were well maintained and the greens were in great shape. The hills and the graduated roughs were an awesome addition to a Houston area golf course. There were a few times that we had to wait on a group in front of us, but no huge delays. The 18th hole is really a challenge! Looking forward to playing this course again soon.
Gus Wortham Park Golf Course
Played On 08/30/2015Still a good round of golf
This is a great fairly open course, that is also a municipal course. It is really well maintained for a city course. There are a couple of greens that are in a repair process. There was a foursome playing VERY SLOW and the marshall finally asked them to let two groups pass them by.
Southwyck Golf Club
Played On 08/06/2015Nice Course
The course has a nice layout and I know it plays better than it played out today. It was really hot out and the course surfaces were really hard with lots of cracks in the ground. I played this course once on a rainy day, and it was just awesome.
Clear Creek Golf Course
Played On 08/03/2015What a jewel
I simply love playing Clear Creek! Even in the middle of a Houston summer, the greens are well kept and the fairways play really nice. This is not an easy course by anyone's imagination. A nice plus is that the carts are equiped with GPS.
