The Legends at Orange Lake Resort
Played On 04/30/2017Missed Opportunity
As a resident of Orlando, I understand expected course conditions year round. Unfortunately, dry winter or not, this course was in bad shape! The greens were very inconsistent and very spotty in terms of grass on the greens. Course conditions do NOT warrant a $60 green fee. More like $20. I have no intentions of returning anytime soon. Orange County National is close by and a far better value for the money.
Shingle Creek Golf Club
Played On 12/24/2016New layout & greens
Played early morning round with 2 of the course starters/marshals. Had a great time. Teed off 7am, so, it was understandably damp with the morning dew. New greens were gorgeous to the eye. Still hard, but not as fast as they looked. It was weird to make "the turn" by the starters shack and concession stand between holes 7 & 8......
Overall, it's a very good course for the Central Florida area.
MetroWest Golf Club
Played On 04/23/2016Used to be a great course....
When do you book 3 "mini" tournaments in a single day and still try to have have regular tee times. And on a Saturday!!! The starter says that the pace of play will be 4 hours 45 minutes at a a minimum. Metro West still is a great layout. It's unfortunate that management has gotten so bad over the past few years. Play it for the nostalgia, if you like, otherwise, go elsewhere.
Falcon's Fire Golf Club
Played On 05/24/2015Been a few years, now I know why...
The greens were spotty at best. extremely grainy & in fair to poor condition overall. They were inconsistent throughout all 18 holes. Overall, course appeared to be under watered. I had hoped for better.
Crooked Cat at Orange County National
Played On 11/29/2014Communicate, PLEASE!!!!!
I'm a regular @ OCN. But this day, nobody bothered to tell us that it was cart path only until we were informed by the starter @ #1. We were told told it was cart path only due to over seeding. Nobody else thought that little insignificant piece of information was important. The course was in very good shape as usual. the greens were very fast and true.
Timacuan Golf Club
Played On 10/27/2014Great round of golf
Front nine is somewhat hilly, while back 9 is flat with a lot of water in ply. Greens are very receptive, but fast. Course is in great shape.
Timacuan is well worth the ride to Lake Mary.
Grand Cypress - North/South
Played On 07/28/2014Consistentlcy!
Grand Cypress is well known in Central Florida for their consistently lush playing conditions. The greens were a little slower than normal, but the course was as pretty and lush as ever. We played the South & East 9's. Got a great afternoon rate on GolfNow.com and really enjoyed it.
