Starfire Golf Club - The King Course
Played On 01/28/2019Issues that should never have happened
To begìn, there are things that should never happen at a golf course:
1. Ladies washroom at 7th hole was out of order. The men's washroom was filthy and had no toilet paper.
2. Outdoor men's washroom at the clubhouse had a plugged toilet and an empty hand towel machine.
3. Ladies locker room washroom had 3 stalls. The first had an almost empty roll of toilet paper and the other 2 stalls had no toilet paper - unacceptable.
Also golfed at this club a week earlier and left a GPS in the cart. The carts are cleaned after use and the GPS was not turned into lost and found. Very disappointed.
Have been coming to Arizona for 7 years and Have golfed many times at Starfire . Normally pleased but this year very disappointed with the course conditions. The only bright spot was Enrique in the clubhouse being very polite and good at his job.

Too bad the carts were not equipped with GPS, but at least a yardage book was given, and free of charge! Pure sand in the traps would have been nice, rocks are not a welcome addition. Pace of play was slow, even with a Marshall that we saw several times. I assume he just drove around, not enforcing the pace of play. Golfers should be advised to beware of golfers that may be in a blind spot on the fairway as some holes had low spots where the golfers ahead could not be seen. Overall, the course was enjoyable, even with the number of traps. We enjoyed a drink and dinner afterwards, enjoying the sunset, but had it been cooler, heaters would have been a welcome addition.
Las Sendas Golf Club
Played On 03/26/2018Scenic and challenging
The course was recommended by friends as a 5*. Slight disappointment on 1st fairway, but improved as we progressed. Unfortunately, the foursome ahead of us played slow so we had to wait most shots. The Marshall told us he spoke with them, but that was around the 13th. Disappointed with the bunker condition, not something you would expect from a course ranked by Mesa residents as #1. More rocks than sand. As some other reviews stated, too many blind spots unless you regularly play it. Other courses have provided yardage books without having to pay for it. Many scenic holes.
Ocotillo Golf Club - White/Gold

Great course, not for the faint hearted if you are intimidated by water.
Coyote Lakes Golf Club
Played On 01/23/2018where’s Marshall Dillon?
Fun course, challenging greens on back, but sooooo...slow!! Definitely need a Marshall. Our group called on the 4th hole and complained, they said someone would come, but nobody did! Why bs the golfers. Get out and fix the problem! Drove 35 minutes to play, but will think again if I am going to go the distance and be frustrated at the pace of play.

Played On 03/03/2017More grass in traps
Course was slow and in poor condition. Asked about possibility of a 5 some late in the day as we had guests coming. They replied no. While waiting to tee off, they sent 2 groups of 5 out. Who knows how many other groups of 5 were out during the day. Would not recommend this course due to pace of play and poor conditions. Plus at the turn at 4:00 pm, restaurant was closed.

Painted Mountain Golf Club
Played On 02/16/2015Could use a Marshall for later play
Although we would have finished in just over 4 hours, we waited at every hole for 1 - 2 groups to tee off. Could be because of back to back par 3's on back 9 . Overall, definitely a to-do course when you get a great deal. Course was in great condition, with some tricky greens.
Aguila Golf Course
Played On 02/02/2015Lots of rangers
Bar cart girl had no food, no liquor. Went to clubhouse at turn and had to wait for a hotdog. Returned right away to 10 and ranger gave us a hard time for falling behind. Put me off and I complained to him. We caught up to the group in front. Would not return to here, typical city course.

Always enjoyed playing here. Course is easy compared to others.
Thank you for filling out the online comment card and giving your assesment. The course is in no way in poor condition nor is it in anyway perfect. But we do consider ourselves one of the best values in AZ for what we offer. Starting March 1st the Pro Shop and Grille are now open past 4pm. Thanks ~HC
