The course was in very poor condition. Not sure why there was no sand in the traps, awful. No water in ball washers. Greens slow with many ball divots. On course washroom porta facilities were over flowing. Any of the course associates that we met both on & in the clubhouse were very good. This course used to be a good course to play but has gone down hill. Wouldn't play this course again, the value wasn't even close to what golfers should expect in a golf course. Save your money, hitting balls on a range would be a better experience than playing this course.

Greens were firm & spotty at times. Sand traps are in need of work after rain, additional sand required in many. Fairways good. Pace of play was not good today, 4 hours 40 minutes, 2 hours 20 minutes on front nine. Have played numerous times over the past 7 years. It's a nice track. Staff has always been accommodating.

Starter was great as we teed off 70 minutes late which was because of early morning frost delay. Front nine took over 2. 5 hours which was not good. Back nine we did in a little over 2 hours. Had played this course many numerous times over the past 35 years. Course in good condition with the exception of sand traps that are not very good ! We had no contact with any course marshal regarding slow play. Great course for those golfers that play lots as it's challenging.

Course met our expectations. Greens great shape for this time of the year. Fairways & tee boxes very good. Sand traps not consistent..

Greens were excellent for this time of year with course in very good condition. Pace of play today was 4 hours.

We have played San Marcos in the past few years. The course has improved very much. Greens, tee boxes & fairways are much better with improved irrigation. Green side bunkers are much improved. Greens are still recovering after over seeding but should be very good in a few weeks. Staff is always accommodating. Pace of play today was 3 hours - 50 minutes for our foursome which is excellent!

Our foursome played Foothills on November 19 with pace of play at 4 hours. Played again on November 23. Pace of play awful at 5 hours. Greens are in poor condition, fairways & tee boxes are average. Course not in great condition compared to same period last year. Wouldn't recommend playing at this time.

We've played this course for many years. Have always found course to be in good condition with the exception of last year when they had issues with greens. Greens are excellent this year! Pace of play has always been good, pro shop associates are always accommodating along with the starter. Good value for a very good course.

We've played Foothills numerous times over the past few 3 years. Pro shop staff & customer care staff are always accommodating. Starter this day seemed confused/disorganized - having a bad day.we guessed. Pace of play was excellent for our foursome - 4 hours - 12 minutes. Course condition was good but it was better in November/December. Like many courses in the Valley additional water is required in some areas of the course that are dry. Our cart broke down on 17 but the pro shop had a cart out within minutes! It's a challenging course with good value.

Pace of play was awful! We had 12:23 tee time & finished at 5:18. No carts available until 4 minutes before tee time? We've played this course numerous times since it opened. Pace of play will become more of a issue which management needs to address sooner than later. Course Marshall needs to enforce the no more than 4 hour 20 minutes posted on the carts. It's a great course but if the pace of play continues many frustrated players we'll look at other options for golf than Johnson Ranch.

We've played Foothills on more than one occasion over the past 3 years. Course was in good shape, fairways are very good, tee boxes good & greens slow on some holes but in good condition. Staff was great & a 4:07 termini round!

We have played this course numerous times in the past. Unfortunately yesterday was truly a big disappointment. Course in good condition but pace of play was awful. We waited on every shot, no Marshall & quit after 9 - 2 half hour painful holes. Hopefully the foursome behind us had better luck on the back nine. The group in front left clubs either on the green or around the green on 3 occasions on the front nine. They were happy we were behind them to retrieve. We found the golf shop customer service at bag drop after 9 holes to be less then professional - to busy talking to each other.

Course is in good shape, greens are very good & fairways have come a long very well over the last few months. Pace of play was 4 hours 15 minutes which was very good. Staff very accommodating.

We have played this course on many occasions over the years. Very nice layout but it appears they have cut back on their over seeding of Fairways this past Fall. Fairway conditions are very poor compared to other years! Many bare spots and greens are very slow. No food beverage cart the day we played at temperatures around 88F. Pro shop staff & other associates were excellent. Pace of play was 5 hours with no Marshall with a full hole open in front of the foursome we were following who were very slow!

Having played this course since it first opened we have experienced exceptional conditions with the course as well as poor playing conditions. On April 14 we experienced poor conditions. In January I had played the course & it was in very good shape but on April 14 many greens were in poor playing, bunkers hard/dry & fairways very poor as they appear to lack water as many lies lacked appropriate grass. The staff in pro shot & starters were excellent but lounge staff behind the counter lack that customer intimacy that you get from many courses. Unfortunately it wasn't a good golf experience that day at a course that has a nice track.
