Played On 04/16/2024Could be a great course
Decent executive course. Greens a little slow, but for the price not bad. 2024 revisited, carts are filthy and poorly kept. Place continues to get more run down, it's a shame since this place could be a real gem.

Played On 02/27/2024Well maintained, even in winter.
It's still technically winter so grass was brown. There was repairs being performed and a lot of improvements being made. It was still playable with work ongoing. some paved areas on the cart paths need attention but I can see some patches were repaired from last season already. I love the course layout and the undulating fairways

A couple of extremely challenging holes but overall moderately challenging. Although I personally had a bad round. Usually am able to make enough pars here to keep it fun.

Course needs work, the reviews about the cart paths do not fully depict how bad they are. The course layout is well marked but challenging to navigate. Fairways are in bad shape, we haven't had a lot of rain in the area. Greens and tee boxes are in good shape with exception of a short downhill par 3, green looked like it had chicken pox

Fairview Golf Course

Played from senior tees for the first time. Saved me 10 strokes on the round. Next time will go back to whites, very open a lot of trees have been cut down. Greens are in great shape. Play slows down after 10am tee off.

Course is short but interesting with interesting greens. Pin placement offers challenges for your putting skills. My two complaints are the literal millions of gypsy moths that have infested the course killing many of the trees and making it near impossible to swing a club without some disturbance by them. Hopefully they won't be as numerous as the summer goes on. Also fair rating on amenities due to the dated and deteriorating facilities. I understand there is also a bar/restaurant at night but restrooms could use some sprucing up on and off course.
Silverbell Municipal Golf Course

Played as part of our vacation, by far the worst kept course I've played at in years. Was told it was because of 2 days of rain storms... We played the 2 days previous and courses were beautifully kept. No signs of anyone working on the course except the ranger who was more interested in keeping everyone on the cart path than speeding up slow play.

Got there the day before they removed the cart path only restriction due to reseeding. Did not mind at all due to the beautifully kept course and all the wildlife around. Course was challenging but not frustrating. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will make this my go to course when in the Tuscon area.
