Nice links course in Brooklyn!

One wouldn't expect to find a links style course in Brooklyn NY! Marine Park is a nice links layout. We played the Blue Tees, so the course played relatively long but was still very playable. There were some inconsistencies in the bunkers. The turf conditions on the fairways and greens were fine. The rough had some inconsistent patches, but nothing too bad at all! The course had a wonderful short game area and nice putting green. The range is limited to irons only but is quite nice with mats in very good shape with lots of targets. A good value!

Nice Deal

This was my first time playing Middle Bay. They have a decent short game and putting area. The range is mats only but serves the purpose as a spot to warm-up. The course has pretty solid green structures. The greens were pretty true but could have been a bit faster. The bunkers were inconsistent - some were mostly dirt/mud. The fairways were in good shape. The wind wasn't too bad when I played, but because it is close to the water, I could see this course playing tough if the wind is up. Overall, a pretty good place to play. Paid $45 with cart on a hot deal, which is a good value on Long Island.

Nice course for the money

Julington Creek is a nice course for the price. The staff was very friendly. The greens were not very fast, but rolled true. There was a good variety of holes - some doglegs, some straight away, a short driveable Par 4.

Nice course, fast greens

This course has greens that are about as fast as you will find in Florida. The speed of the greens is the biggest challenge at the course. On certain greens, if one gets above the hole, it can be difficult to get down in two. Certainly some course knowledge helps around the greens. The course is pretty fair tee-to-green. OK value for the price.

Thank you for the great 4-Star review! We're glad you noticed how fast the greens are, we've recently renovated and they're getting better. We are also glad you found value.

Neat course, great value!

I have played Hawthorne Hills many times. The greens and fringes were both in tremendous condition. The rest of the course was in good shape as well. The course provides a nice variety of holes and gives you some opportunities to score. The GolfNow deal was a real bargain!

Awesome Links Layout

Lawsonia Links deserves the accolades that it gets. This is a great links design. There is some fescue on the course, but the fairways are generous and there is also plenty of rough to save your ball from the fescue. The greens are very large and the undulations force you to plan out your chips/pitches accordingly. I really enjoyed the course and cannot wait to go again!

A Straight Hitters Paradise

This is a beautiful Pete Dye design. The course is full of beautiful trees as well as a marsh that is in play on a few holes. The course is not long, but demands accuracy of the tee. The greens are not overly large either so your iron game needs to be solid. I got a great deal on golf now and had a really enjoyable day on the course. I would highly recommend this course.

Forgiving, Links Style Course

The Jones course was a nice, forgiving links style course. There was a little bit of water on the course, but most holes had a bailout. This is a nice course to checkout if you are in the area.

Great northwoods course

I really enjoyed this course! It is set in the woods of st. Germain. Being set in a wooded area, driving accuracy is at a premium on many holes. I found the course to have a nice variety of holes....highly recommended if you are in the area!

Great course conditions

I have played Fire Ridge before, but the course was in the best condition I have seen this time. There were very few ball marks in the greens. The greens rolled very true and very fast. Fire Ridge provides a challenging, yet fair layout. The pro shop worker gave me the option of playing at my scheduled time or going earlier. I went earlier as it allowed me to play a faster round. Fun Course!

Neat old course

Tuscumbia is the oldest course in the state of Wisconsin. It was built in 1896. Overall, I had a nice time playing the course. The greens rolled very true. It was nice to play an old school layout. Being an older course, I expected it to be a bit tighter than it was. It was tree lined, but the openings were very generous. It was solid value for the money and very playable.

Nice layout

Meadowbrook was a nice experience. We were greeted by a friendly worker who told us where to find the range and that the balls were out there for us. The course is a fun layout of holes with nice variety. The greens rolled true and had a playable speed. A bit of a drive from where we were but worth it.

Nice, short links style course

Mill Pond has several holes that remind one of links golf. The course is not overly long, I think it was around 6300 yards from the blues. The greens rolled true and were average to slightly above average in pace. The back nine had a few holes that were tree-lined which made for nice variety. Overall a nice course....I paid 40 bucks with cart on the weekend which I thought was a great deal!

Neat Course

Thornberry Creek is a nice course. It has a nice blend of water, tree-lined holes, and more open holes. It also has several tee boxes. The only downside were the wet greens. Since the greens were a bit wet and soft, they were a bit chewed up from cleat marks. Other than that, the speed of the greens was fine.

scenic course

Hudson Hills is a very scenic course. There are some beautiful views that outlook the Hudson. The course has various elevation changes. The course is a good design, some holes force the golfer to hit precise shots to avoid trouble and other holes are a bit more forgiving. Greens rolled fine. I would definitely recommend the course to others. One negative was that the course did not have a driving range.

Great Course!

The Dye's Valley course is a world class golf course. The practice facility is awesome. We saw Vijay practicing there!

The course is very difficult....lots of water that can come into play. A challenge for a very good player...might be too tough for beginners.
