The course is in good shape right now. Tee boxes, fairways, and rough have been over-seeded and all have grown in good. I wouldn’t call the greens really fast but they weren’t really slow either. It’s not a very long course even from the back tees. The course goes through a neighborhood so you will have houses on a lot of holes but you also get a lot of good views of the mountains. The driving range is mostly a desert with some greens mixed in for targets. It also seemed like a lot of people were there to just hit balls and weren’t playing so the range was really crowded. The chipping and putting green were connected to each other and also a little bit slower than the actual greens were. This course is located on the west side of Vegas between Summerlin and Henderson and is a pretty easy drive to get to no matter where you’re staying. The pricing for non-Vegas residents is high here and at all other Vegas area courses so just be prepared.

Good New Course

This is another good course in Lakewood Ranch. They have only been open since May. The neighborhood only has about 10 homes right now and several of those are model homes and none of them are currently on the golf course. The current clubhouse is small but its nice. The practice area is very good. Driving range balls go into the water like most courses in the area. They have a large practice putting green and a very large short game area. The golf course is in great shape right now. Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, rough, and greens are all good. The greens are not very fast (like most Bermuda greens in FL in the summer) but they are rolling true. The greens are big and have a lot of slope in them and will have the capability to get fast in the future. Water is almost on every hole but it doesn't really come into play on many holes unless you really hit it way left or way right. The fairways are wide and without homes it makes them feel even wider. This is a very fair course with a good layout and I will make it a part of my regular courses that I play when I'm in the area.

Great Course

We played this course on July 9th before they aerated the course the next day. I have played this course numerous times over the years and its always in great shape. Water is on almost every hole and sometimes its on both sides but with that said the course is fair. The fairways are wide enough that you can still miss a shot and not hit it in the water. The greens are big, the putts always roll true, and they seem to be faster then then other courses in the area. I have played all of the best public courses in the area and this is my favorite one.

Good Course/ Greens Need To Heal

I'm not sure when the greens were last aerated but I think they need at least another 10 days to properly heal. The greens are still playable but don't expect to make a bunch of putts right now. The rest of the course is in good shape. This course is pretty short and very playable for the average player. For longer hitters all the par 5's are reachable in 2 and a few of the par 4's are reachable which is fun. The tips are around 6600 and the blue tees are around 6000.

Good course but tough

This course is in great shape right now. A few tee boxes need some work but the rest of it is pretty good. The fairways are great. The greens are really good.(not too fast but not too slow) The rough is pretty thick in several places but still playable. This course was basically carved out of a forest. Most holes have woods on both sides of the fairway. They have 6 sets of tees and the tips are nearly 7,500 yards. This is definitely a 1st shot course meaning that your tee shot better be good or you have no chance to score well. There are several blind tee shots that you have no way of knowing about unless you drive up and see the layout or you have played the course before. There are also several wasteland areas that you might not know about until you get up close to them. 1 suggestion to the course would be to put the course layout on the scorecard to give you an idea of what to expect for each hole. Some signs at each tee box with the layout would also help and really change the overall experience in my opinion. With all that said, I will play it again. This is just one place that some course knowledge would really help out for someone who has never played it before.

Thank you for all the tips. That is a great idea about putting the course layout on the scorecard. We will take this into consideration for the future. Hope to see you soon!

Course Is In GREAT Shape

This course is in great shape right now. The tee boxes, fairways, rough, greens, and bunkers are all perfect. The bent grass greens are rolling fast and smooth. This is not an easy course but it is a playable course. Almost every hole has woods (some deep, some thin) on both sides but the fairways are pretty wide for the most part. If you miss way left or way right you will probably be taking a drop. If you're in the rough - don't worry - it's not too high. The course winds through a neighborhood but the homes are not right on top of you and are mostly hidden by the trees. Most of the greens are large and have lots of slope on them. Pin sheets in the cart will tell you what part of the greens the pins are located on. The course has 5 par 5's and 5 par 3's which is a nice change from most places. For longer hitters, all of the par 5's are reachable in 2 but require 2 really good shots with some risk involved. All things considered, I would highly reccomended this course right now. I love playing there.
