Very nice greens

Course has very nice greens for early April. Course a bit wet - but it is April 8th. Lay out good for mid-handicappers. We played in strong 20mph plus winds, so that impacted play. Links feel, mostly flat with wetlands on almost every hole. We will play later in year.

Enjoyable day on a moderately challenging course.

Emerald Greens is always in good condition. It is a pleasure to play without any gimmicky holes. Moderate elevation changes through parts of the course, others pretty flat with some water hazards. It is a very good course to work on your game - holes are straight forward so you can plan your shots. four tee levels with enough separation to make the course adaptable to golfers with varying handicaps. Very walkable course.

Very nice greens, thick rough and challenging holes

We were very impressed with the majority of this course. The fairways, and rough were appropriately cut to reward good shots and penalize poor ones. Undulating greens with good speed and true rolls. A few of the hole layouts are odd - especially 18. The day we went, the clubhouse was out of scorecards with hole or course layouts - this did cost us a few strokes. Overall though, I would recommend and plan to revisit again this summer.

Crafty Course, fun outing

Heritage Links is a fun test for the average golfer. Holes are not overly difficult, although the back 9 is more challenging than the front. A number of the holes require you to think before pulling out driver. Some nice elevation changes and shots that make you think. The course featured a Craft Beer Friday on the Par 3 holes - very neat idea! I'll be back in July when they do it again.

Great Value for the Money

Nice course with some quirky holes. Greens were good for May 1st - rolled true and had no winter burn. The course is shorter, medium tight with a number of hard doglegs. Position play is at a premium. Played carts were electric and moved right along. We will be back. Very scenic overlooks.

Early Spring Outing

Having not played Mississippi National (MNGC) for a number of years, we were excited to return. The 3rd week of March may not be the best time however to play this challenging course. Greens were in good shape, fairways in most areas were good. Cart paths on Highlands very good - no wash outs. Parts of the course were being remodeled - good modifications - but mud was an issue a number of times. Because of the trees and shade the course was still soft. Very well worth a trip in May, June, July, August, September, Leaves in October can be an issue.

Cougar

Course is good for 12+ handicappers looking for an enjoyable day. Greens roll very true without much undulation. Course book gives good information about distances and hazards. A little Highway and Plane noise, but nothing terrible. Great staff - both helpful and friendly. Worth a play, good for a relaxing, fun, and reasonable golf outing.

Worth the drive, Worth the price, Nice challenge for all

This is the second time playing Bristol Ridge. It is an above average public course with a very nice layout for Better and Average players. Reasonable elevation changes and hazards make you think about your options. Excellent cart paths for an out-of-the-way course. Private setting, nice putting green, mediocre driving range and limited pro shop. We played in terrible weather, but saw the potential for later in the year. Course as of May 9, 2014 has some fairway damage from the winter, although greens were in good condition.

Challenging course with significant topography changes

Pleasant country drive to Miesville on a cool autumn morning. Corn fields abound as you pass acre after acre of farm fields. As you roll into Miesville, the Mudhens stadium greets you along with about 40 residences, 2 eating establishments and a church. Turn down Cty Rd 91 about 2 miles and topography begins to change. A beautiful club house and seclusion from metro hustle-&-bustle. Rolling terrain, large elevation differences without huge distance limitations. If you are in good shape walk. If NOT - ride! greens and fairways green and lush. Good yardage marking, 150 yard markers easy to see and they frame your shot. A few blind shots, but most are identifiable. Outstanding views from more than tee box and green. This is a fun course with challenging holes for all skill levels.

Improvements are being made.

The course has been getting a very nice facelift . Some fairways and greens have suffered significant damage. Still a good challenge and one that will improve as the season progresses.
