Granite Ridge Golf Club - Cobalt

Beautiful setting with majestic scenery. If only course conditions were as good.
Greens are inconsistent, some moderately fast, others agonizingly slow, almost all splotchy (disease?). Fairways are in less than favourable condition. Divot mix bottles on my cart were empty - how can the management expect to have golfers do their part in repairing divots when they don't provide the tools?
Putting practice green was slower than molasses, and not at all indicative of the greens on the course.
Considering what they charge, I would expect a lot more.
Mystic Golf Club
Played On 07/27/2016Poor greens and unplayable bunkers
Golf course is well laid out with a very interesting mix of holes. Some long carries off the tee and lack of knowledge of the course made play challenging. Greens had been aerated in the last 10 days (according to the starter) and still showed signs of the aeration. As well, there were too many greens with much too thin grass and bare spots. Bunkers were a mix of dry dirt (sand?) and weeds. One, at least, was partially filled with water; most were unplayable.
I know that there have been very challenging climatic conditions this summer, if other courses can keep up their greens, why not Mystic?
I don't think I will return.
Hi Djobi2um
Thank you for playing at Mystic. We ares sorry to hear that the conditions of the course did not meet your expectations. Course conditions are always changing and we hope to have another chance to exceed your expectations.
Thundering Waters Golf Club
Played On 07/12/2013Nice course
The course is challenging and has an interesting mix of holes. It is very picturesque and conditions have improved over those encountered several years ago when it was a disaster.
The main problem here is people who do not believe in fixing ball marks on greens, raking bunkers, and filling in divots in fairways, even though carts are equipped with sand/seed bottles. The second large problem is people who do not believe that a round of golf could/should be played in under 4 1/2 hours. Nearly 5 hours to play is simply unacceptable; the course should invest in marshalls who have the authority to move slow players along for the betterment of the golfing experience of everyone.
We appreciate the stellar rating!
