This review truly isn't about the staff. Very good staff. I just think the course is overpriced big time!!!!!!!!! There simply are better options around. Sorry.
"Feathersound, Buckhorn Springs, Avila, to name a few that have far greater practice areas, draining, and upkeep. For a course that is part private, the short game area is horrible, the course doesn't drain well at all, and the rough is horrible. Now I understand there has been a lot of rain but I played my home course "Buckhorn Springs" that took the near same amount of rain and dried 50 times better. Several holes are cart path only and while playing a 100+ dollar round and a ball is lost because it plugged or is down in that ridiculously deep rough, you bet I am going to try and find my ball and play it. I WANT to post a score at a "TPC Course" so I am using every single minute I am allowed to find my ball. So sorry for those who were held up, I play my ball and post 'real scores' especially at 100+ dollar golf course. Sorry, might be my last time ever playing this course. Sad because it is a good layout.

Sage Valley Golf Club (Fazio), Streamsong Red (Crenshaw& Doak), Ritz Carlton Members Club (Fazio), Concessions Golf Club (Nicklaus), Rivertowne Golf Club (Palmer), Daniel Island *Ralston Creek Course (Jones), World Woods Pine Barrens(Fazio) so my list isn't super extensive with great courses but I would consider this pretty good. Also sprinkled in with a few nice ones as well Charleston National Golf Club(Jones),Waldorf Astoria(Unknown),TPC Tampa Bay(Weed&Rodriquez). Now to the Review I played this course in basically a tropical storm from 6,900 yards because I knew I probably would never play it again:) so why not? I shot 90 and I am a 9.8 handicap, wind didn't help at all but I had just as good a time as any other of the courses up top though I enjoyed them all!! Now I admit I am typically prisoner of the moment but the design was outstanding. The fairways were outstanding, with beautiful bunkering strategically placed *with wind I basically had to use driver all day so strategy wasn't really an option in terms of positioning the ball. Now to the greens several plateaued green complexes with a need to get on the correct section or else you are screwed:) Miss on the wrong sides sure to bring double in play rather quickly with the closely mown fall off areas around the greens. I missed to the wrong side several times and had to take some drops for my lack of accuracy. This really is a masterpiece by Jones. I know would have feared better if I had better conditions but who cares!!! I am all about the design features of golf courses and this one was great. Well Done Rees only my second course played by you but really enjoyed myself!!!!!!!!!!

While on vacation in mt. pleasant I was able to play a solid list of courses. I am very much the golfer who appreciates the design features of a golf course. I came away impressed with Mr. Palmer's layout. I loved the bunkering throughout the course, very cool and served great direction for playing a new course. There were a set of tees for every level golfer on this course. What I found most delightful even giving the windy conditions of a near by tropical system was the lack of forced carries on holes. This wasn't so much for me because I am fairly long for a 10 handicap but again I appreciated Mr. Palmer's execution of a playable course for all types. My favorite hole was the short par 4 Sixth!!! Now the greens were in good shape not perfect. But you better put the ball on the correct shelf, if not hang with them coach:) I really enjoyed trying to execute this part of my game and when I did I was rewarded with good chances to birdie holes or save par. The many bulkheads around the greens was another cool feature protecting the larger greens on this course. Miss on the wrong side and you got punished, hit a good shot in correct spots you were rewarded somewhat(hahaha) Great time and played with a great guy also. Thanks for a great time from a year round florida golfer!

Showed up late for my tee time so had zero warmup swings but probably was a good thing. Had no time to think about my swing only about placement of tee shots. This course was very much a position golf course. Hit the wrong club off the tee and get out of position "good luck"! If you don't like having to carry marsh areas then please stay away. There was lots of that but this added to the beauty of the golf course. The back 9 was a beast from the Championship tees. Lots of tight tee shots into the wind! The greens were outstanding and not flat so bring your good putter:) Shot my lowest round here on the trip so I will be back in the future. Will play again in the future when I return.

Really nice open course for 1st Round on vacation. The views were outstanding!!!! Greens were in great shape with some slope to them. Had some nice holes for strategy, my biggest complaint was some fairways weren't in good condition due to the amount of play this course seems to get. I did enjoy the lay out and would play it again but would do later in day for a lower price.

If you want the bells and whistles to a golf course this isn't it but if you want an enjoyable round yet challenging this is the layout for you. I typically go off early in the morning so I don't deal with pace of play issues. When I 1st started playing golf I played here a lot so you know I have had my fair share of headaches (haha )What I enjoy most about this course is the requirement to play strategic golf and bring out every single club in your bag. Greens always roll true so no worries here, the only issue from time to time is the course doesn't drain great but on those days just use the rules to your benefit with standing water. My favorite around tampa!

I enjoy getting a chance to play on my lunch break a quick 9 or playing 18 when I can. This is a playable course with lots of opportunities to use driver. I really like the Par 3's which have good length for the most part and some slope to the greens. In the past the greens were not good at all but since they have redone the greens they are rolling better but on the slow side which is typical for a county course to insure playability. Overall I have been enjoying the current conditions.

I have been the benefactor of playing some very nice courses in my short time playing golf. Sage Valley in South Carolina, Ritz-Carlton Members Club, Pine Barrens, and a few TPC courses. I left stream song very impressed with what lies ahead. Clearly they are in the process of making things better as the same day I played they fired their Head Caddie Master. As time moves on I believe they will run the operation smoother. I will be heading back soon to play the blue course at summer's end.

I enjoyed getting a chance to play Esplanade a few weeks back. The fairways are somewhat on the hard side which I believe is due to the ground being fairly new. We played the back tees which allowed us to use our drivers on practically every tee. Fairways are large with several holes asking you to carry water or hazards on right or left. Greens were hard but weirdly not running fast which took some getting use to. The greens didn't allow for spiny type wedge shots so we adjusted for that also. Overall my group enjoyed the course and will be back at some point when things are more up and running to check out the operation. Not a hard course to work around I recommend it.

This is a great golf course for someone who has a great imagination and loves the challenge of playing a difficult course. Very Tight three lines, very undulated greens, and very very very fast greens on a regular basis. Easily one of my favorite places to play golf in my area. The price is great and usually the course isn't super loaded due to the difficulty of the course. Love you Cypress Creek.

Wow!!!!! I had the most amazing golfing experience at Sage Valley. Have a friend who is member take a few of us friends to play a round and I felt like I was on the PGA Tour :) Truly the friendliest people on earth!!! The course is superb and the views from the many elevated tees are down right amazing!!!!! I played the course two weeks after the Masters which I attended. The course was set up with the azaleis and tight rye grass and bent greens were running 12.5 with some crazy hole locations. The US Junior was concluded the previous day so pins were PGA tour locations. Sage Valley I can't wait to come back again!!!!

Two months ago I decided this course was not worth my dollars at all anymore. The teebox's were terrible, the fairways were awful, and the greens were in bad shape. This is my updated review. I couldn't find any tee times over at Summerfield Crossings so I decided to bite the bullet because I really wanted to play golf. Wow they are trying much harder now to get the course it seems in better shape. I was very surprised at what I found since my last visit. Things were much improved, fairways tho wet were in much better condition, the greens were what a person paying 30.00 should expect to putt on. Much better job guys!!

I finally had a day off I could drive up to Worlds Woods. With my wife expecting our second I had to go and get a round in before its done with Golf:)Sure!! Invited a co worker for a round and now he is hooked. What a wonderful place to get away and play a Top Notch Course. I mean Top Notch!!!!! They are currently getting ready for peak season and doing lots of manicuring so it was loud but who cares, it is the best course I have ever played hands down!!! Next time I get to sneak away guess where I am going. Yup Pine Barrens!!! The Ranger Jim was a outstanding guy!!!!!

My review might be somewhat bias but its only because I love the place and the staff. Always very friendly and the course is always in wonderful shape as they take pride in being part of a Sports Academy golf program. Mr. Parsons is top notch!!!! Keep it going!!!

I joined a group playing a 8:33am shotgun start and this was my first time doing something like this and wow I am so happy I found this on accident!!!! I will be joining this crowd again in the near future. Not only was the course in beautiful shape but the staff was so friendly I almost thought to myself I must be in golf heaven!!!:) The course itself wasn't so demanding you couldn't score. Some holes you could go for it and those you needed to start balls in the right places for a chance to score!! The greens were very receptive to shots partly because it was wet from rains but still fastest enough it rolled true!!!! I can go on and on about this course and staff!! Please keep up the good work up and I think I have found a new home, sorry Bloomingdale, you have lost my money!!!!! Not again ever!!!!!!

I hate to say it because this place is very convenient being close to my house. But what a rip off in terms of the price you pay and want you get. They simply don't take care of the course and living off the rich past it once had and it had a good one from what I heard. The tee boxes are in bad shape the greens are not as good as it should.. If you want a place that is just close to home and a good layout but not quality as a whole then this is your spot. Some very cool holes overall. Sorry guys but you need to clean up and I will come back!!!
