Pace is slow

The course looks good upon first arrival. However, it is a very busy course. There is only one putting green that 1 could find and it was overwhelmed. The course had a lot of elevation changes and rolling hills and mounds. The greens had a lot of undulation, but they were so slow. I have never played on greens so slow before. It was crazy. The starter was very nice and our twosome joined the group in front for a foursome. Then everything came to a stop. We were unfortunate to be stuck behind a foursome with no golf etiquette. They hit multiple tee shots per person and we witnessed them remove the flag putt and then replace the flag so another in their group could putt. We did have the fortune of this being a 27 hole course. So when starting the second nine, we went to the opposite nine as the group in front of us.

Not as sold

The views were breath taking, but that's about were it stopped. First, they sold this place on their website as a top notch, exclusive course, but it was far from that. Then there is no driving range, just a few nets you can hit into to warm up. Now on the course itself, there were a lot of dead area on every hole and I mean large areas. There were multiple types of grass growing in the fairway when there was grass. The greens were inconsistent. The mowers wouldn't stop to let you play, meaning they would continue to go up and down the middle of the fairway. I would have been mad if I played here for more than $20. I will not be going back, that's for sure.

Hot, but great day in the desert.

The course was in great condition, and the surrounding scenery was unreal. The cart is nice and the tablet GPS system in the cart is awesome. There was no delay in play, but that is likely because I was the only crazy one playing golf in the desert in the middle of the day in mid July. The course workers were friendly and respectful to me playing, but I am not easily distracted by noise. I would play here again or perhaps their other course, The Champions, next time.
